Looking for some help guys. I'm having a hard time finding a good soap. The only one I've found I'm happy with is TSD sensitive. (Haven't gotten to try any of the scents yet). But I'm looking for a nice, luxurious, great smelling soap. Any reccomendations?
What have you tried so far? Strop Shoppe Baker Street performs fantastic and smells even better. What sort of scents do you like?
Proraso, Col. Conk, Classic Brand, TSD. That's the only soaps I've gotten to try. I've tried some creams, but I think they are a little thick for what I like. Also, I think I'll like a woodsy scent. Maybe a little pine. I've also tried Stirling.
Did you like the Stirling? They have some pretty good woodsy scents. They just happen to be my favorite soap.
I wasn't crazy about it. I haven't been very impressed with any glycerin soaps. The only one I loved so far was TSD lanolin
I have been really happy with the performance of the TSD non-Lanolin, but haven't tried the Lanolin. Scents are hard to recomend. I also like the Maggard's artisan soaps for performance. My favorite soap based on performance is Jabonman, which is a small artisan soap maker in Spain who doesn't have a website.
Stirling is tallow based. In fact, their Scots Pine is sheep's tallow based with woodsy scent. I have used a sample of it, and it is nice. You can smell the sheep's tallow, though. Their soap needs lots of water, but I find them to be the best lathering soaps I have.
The TSD Lanolin soaps are great, too, BTW. I definitely enjoy those. The Wheat Shaving Cream is also nice.
Razor: Gillette Flare tip (A3) 1955 Blade: Personna Platinum (4) Brush: Fendrihan Silver Tip Black Handle-22/49 Soap: RazoRock Don Donato A/S: Myrsol Balsamic Water Day 30 It has been a very good focus. Worked on angle of attack and found that no matter how often you use a DE you can always improve your shave. My habit is to change razors, blades, and brushes every 7 days. I also found that it takes a couple of shaves to get the correct angle and get my best shaves. I hadn't noticed that until this month. This focus was well worth it's while. New to Myrsol products. They just arrived today. It took 13 day to arrive. Worth the wait. Enjoy the ball game and have a great weekend.
Well I'll say it.....I think KC has too much offense to lose. Now, before you put me on ignore and renounce me you should know that normally when I make a grand prediction like that it's the KOD for that team so I probably just handed it to the Mets.
I have used Stirling and liked the soap but it was in the "not buy again" category. Scents are very hard to pick so I will give you my favorite soap brands other than TSD. I have tried Tallow Based: Mystic Water-can be difficult to lather and from personal experience much easier to use in stick form. Once dialed in the best soap I have used period. Barrister and Mann regular line- great performance but scents are very complex, great performing soap. Latha Line- very good soap. I had the original scent and didn't care for it but I did finish the tub. Great Performance. Vegan Soaps: Soap Commander Vegan soap for tallow soap guys. Great performance and scents are pretty good. Catie's Bubbles - Great soap, for me a notch below Soap Commander but still very close. Super Easy to lather.
I am a big fan of Stirling soap. As has been said, they like a lot of water. If you like woodsy scents they have several. Coniferous is a good one. If you like menthol the frozen tundra is a good outdoors scent. I am a huge fan of the margaritas in the Arctic but it is a citrus scent obviously.
I'm a baseball realist. Take the names off the jerseys of both teams and I would say that the team that is currently up 2 games to 0 is playing rock solid from top to bottom of the batting order and from starting pitchers through the bullpen and closer. They will be tough to beat.
I have run into a couple of discussion threads through Google search but nothing that leads to how to actually buy it. Apparently the maker has no website or direct sales other than going through him. Anybody?
That's what I kept running into also. I was hoping someone who had gotten ahold of it would chime in.
