I finished this razor on a thuri for todays shave, Very nice close and comfortable shave. The Savonniere du Moulin is a good soap, nice lather, good post shave feel. This month I'm going to use stuff that deserves more face time. It will probably translate to straights mostly. Have a good one.

I agree. It goes really well with LÓccitane Cade, as its a woodsy juniper scent (juniperus oxycedrus).

    SUNDAY SHAVE OF THE DAY
    sotd77.jpg

    PRE SHAVE: GUSTAFSONS WOODLANDS
    RAZOR: GILLETTE BALL END TECH
    BLADE: CROMA (3)
    BRUSH: OMEGA S SYNTHETIC
UBERLATHER: WSP FOUGERE NOIR/ DERBY MENTHOL
    POST: F&C CAPRI

Had a good 2 pass shave this morning. These Croma blades are not too bad, a few shaves in and no sign of tugging or anything. So far i'm pretty impressed since it is a blade that doesn't get mentioned a whole lot. The Fougere Noir mixed well with the Derby, not a whole lot of menthol, just a nice cooling touch. Lather was nice and slick. Finished off with Folsom & Co. which is one of my top 5 favorite aftershave brands. This one has a very citrusy scent which was a nice way to end the shave. Hope everyone has a great shave and a great day!

The MMOC is an amazing razor, my face is still almost smooth 20 hours later. Can't get a shave like that even with my Gillette Redtip loaded with a Feather. I always had to shave the next day.

Even though open comb OCtober is over I decided to break out the OCMM. A true love/hate relationship since getting an easy shave with this still eludes me. What can I say? It is still hard to use ATG on the chin, it always leaves a few weepers here and there, and it excels at providing the alum block with opportunities to do it's best work. Of course, it also shaves really, really close - approaching the mighty PAL Injecto Matic in places. I just want the last sentence without the one before it. One of these days...

Day 1 of my 30 day focus on straights. I used a hot towel prep, quality lather, and enjoyed manuvering the double duck for 3 passes. I need to work on finding a good angle for my jawline, but overall and really nice shave.

    Have a good one gents.
