I won an auction last night for a pair of vintage Gillette razors, a Slim Adjustable and what appears to be a FrankenOld: (auction image) Not much in the way of description and what was there was inaccurate. I'm hoping that the Slim just needs a really good cleaning and polish. If so, then I think I did pretty well ($12.99 shipped). The Old Type looks like it has a thin caps, though the corner teeth are definitely bent. (Is there a dentist in the house?) I'm curious to see what color the Fat Tech handle cleans up to be. Unfortunately, it looks like the seller is planning to use slow-boat shipping, so they won't get here until some time next week. JR
I know and it made me a bit leery of bidding, though I swear I've seen worse on the forums before. I had actually had this auction on my watch list for a while; this was at least the third time the lot was up, each time dropping by a couple of dollars on the opening bid. Surprisingly, or perhaps not, I was the only bidder.
I've wanted a NeverShed brush in this particular model for over a year now when I saw one fully restored and thought it was an amazing looking brush. The tough thing is that they don't come up all that often for sale and when they do there is often some serious cosmetic/structural damage - but, finally came across one this week that looks great and after $20 w/ free shipping it is now slowly making its way over to me. The patent date on it is Feb 14-05.
Just purchase my 8th straight and traded some MWF to try out a new Shave Revolution shave soap Shave Revolution Shave Soap Connoisseur
Ouch that hurts! But your right, the sharks do fade fast in the playoffs. Have two family members who are season ticket holders and miss them when sharks exit quickly in the playoffs.
