Yeah I finally told my wife she needs to be out of there when I'm shaving. When she asked why I told I need to be able to concentrate.

OK , first shave with the B1. I got a nice slick lather going with the TOBS grapefruit and started my first pass WTG. By the second pass I had figured out the angle and went ATG on my neck and XTG on my cheeks and chin. That's my normal routine and 2 passes I'm done. The shave was DFS at this point but since I was having such a good time I lathered up and went around one more time. Fantastic BBS! Couldn't be any better. Aside from the odd position the razor needs to be held at it's fairly mild! I'm happy to say no nicks today! Great little shaver !:happy108: image.jpeg

I wanted to add when using one of these if you don't have the right angle it doesn't want to cut. When you hit the right spot you can hear it and feel it.

Decided to use my prize possesion for the last day of OCtober. Its been a long month not using Schick injectors. (other than my B2 which I just got).

For NOVember (no variation) I will be getting familiar with my Type F for the entire month.

Awesome razors! I'm looking at a type F but it will probably be over priced.

Even though open comb OCtober is over I decided to break out the OCMM. A true love/hate relationship since getting an easy shave with this still eludes me. What can I say? It is still hard to use ATG on the chin, it always leaves a few weepers here and there, and it excels at providing the alum block with opportunities to do it's best work. Of course, it also shaves really, really close - approaching the mighty PAL Injecto Matic in places. I just want the last sentence without the one before it. One of these days...

    Schick Type G 2 Injector...:)

    Three Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water prep & massage with Coconut Oil
    Schick Type G 2 Injector
    Feather Pro Injector Blade ( Modified ) X 4
    Semogue Boar Brush
Erasmic Shaving Cream (added Argan oil)
    Organic Aloe Vera Gel
LOGONA Man Aftershave Splash (From Germany)

I had another Fantastic all over BBS result with my G Type today... The Feather Pro Blade performs exceedingly well in the G Type and whacked down 4 or 5 days of whiskers at ease...This was my 4th shave with this blade and it has changed its characteristics somewhat and it was allowing me to use some pressure as when they are new this a No - No...I have got to say that I am seriously impressed with the Feather Pro Blade...I will dump it after my 4th shave as I am not one for pushing numbers and I like a sharp blade...It could go further but I am happy with 4 great shaves from a blade rather than accepting a fall off and continuing on for a somewhat mediocre performance....These blades are ever so smooth & smooth and will suit anyone with sensitive skin which I suppose we all have....The skin always feels silky smooth and it shaves ever so deep...These Pro Blades might not be for everyone of course as some folks might find them just too sharp....All I can say is try them as they juice up and transform your injector into something else..;)

Day two with the type F and another irritation free DFS. I'll be using this guy all month so really glad ive learned to go easy because the F will provide a too close shave if not careful.

I find the F Type to be very forgiving with a Chick Blade and I took to it straight away...Its a bit of an Enigma this injector as some folks reckon it mild and others seem to find it aggressive...I just find it to be a very smooth and forgiving shaver but as you say it can shave ever so close and that for me is a sign of an aggressive razor...I have always said that the F Type does just about everything except " But Buy You A Pint"....I love mine to bits and now that I know what they are even though I got mine at a good price I would pay through the nose for another if anything happened to mine...These are Special in my books..:love055:

Hello everyone, yesterday I was looking for something in one of my cabinets, and I spotted my old Adjustable Schick Injector. The paperwork with it says the warranty expired at midnight on 28 February 1965, so I'm assuming this is a 1964 razor. At any rate, I dug it out when I found it because it is too cool looking to leave unused for long periods of time. It is the gold plated version, and it is a really nice looking razor. I can't remember the last time I used it, so I shaved with it yesterday. Man, what a shave! I used the factory fresh blade from the key that it was originally sold with in 1964 (I think). This shave was the best injector shave I have ever experienced! Now I have a question. What are my options as far as blades for this razor? Are the Chinese Schick blades all that are commonly available? I want to use this razor more often, but I dislike the Chick blades. I have never gotten a great shave with one in my other injector razor yet. And in this Adjustable, I've only used the vintage blade that I installed yesterday. I am sure I will really like this razor even more with the right blade. Maybe I should just score some vintage blades. But I would like to find some acceptable modern blades as well. Sorry for the long post, I'm having trouble putting my words together this morning. But any information about good modern blades for this razor would be appreciated. Here's a photo of the razor I'm talking about-

Those Schick Krona blades you are using are very nice blades...I have a stash of them...I don't like the Chinese blades in later injectors either as for me they are too tame with them...These perform well with NOS Twin blades & or current Schick Twin blades that are made in Japan...You will get these from EBay....As you say you can get some NOS blades on EBay as well...NOS Schick Platinum Plus, NOS Gillette Platinum Plus and NOS Schick Chromium blades are great...NOS Personna 74s are also great blades but expensive....The current Personna/Pella blades are worth a try as they are the same blade rebranded and are a bit more aggressive than Chinese blades in these more modern injectors....If you are a bit more venturous you can cut down a Feather Pro blade to fit this injector and load it by putting it into your standard injector key as these blades are very sharp and offer a wonderful result...Not for the faint hearted though but ever so smooth with a very light touch...;)

    Schick Twin blades...:p

Thanks for your response Billi! I just found some Ted Pella's as per your post on eBay. I ordered a key of 20. Thanks again for your input. Have a great day!

These things are all personal of course but I find the Pella/Personna blades to fit later injectors better than the Chinese blades...I use the Chinese blades in earlier more aggressive injectors like the early Type E 2, F Type and PAL Injectors and they work well in them by taming them down a bit...Some folks get stuck with a one blade fits all injectors attitude and they lose out big time ..;)
