Its easy to shave too close for comfort with the Pro Blade and some NOS Dutch made Schick blades in an E 2...Its sure is smoother than Chinese Schick blades that's for sure Sir....These Pro blades are far sharper as well although they lose there edge a lot quicker...They also offer a particular smooth finish on the face that's got to be experienced...I was surprized at how forgiving they were as well in the Type E 2...:angelic007:

Alright. You guys have gotten me back to using my Schicks and Gems. Here's a question for some of you who have tried the mini hair shaper blades. Have you found them to be, for lack of a better word, a bit harsh on the face. When comparing them to the Chicks they seem so much more harsh. The Chicks are smooth as silk. Wish I could get more comfort out of the Personna blades.

I have never used the Personna Hair Shaper blades but its been said that they are the same as Personna Injector blades but I cannot confirm that...Personna blades can be harsher in my experience in particular injectors...I would never use them in aggressive injectors that's for sure..;)

Billy to the rescue again :) Thank you kind sir! I have two E types with the seemed plastic handle, which have that harsh characteristic with the hair shapers. Thoroughly enjoy the Chicks smoothness. Kinda sad Personna doesn't have something to compete with the Chicks in the smoothness dept.

Hey fellows, I was wondering if you all could help me get a positive ID on two injectors I have. The first I think is an E type, but I'm not sure. Here's those photos. -

The next I think is an A Type? Please help me ID these. I would so appreciate it.

The last photo seems to be a number inside the magazine port. It looks like the number 1200. Thanks fellows.

Aye, I thought that you might be using them in a Type E sir...Yeah the Chicks are far more smooth and forgiving in a more aggressive injector that's for sure..;)

Thank you Billy! I thought the first one was an E type, but I had no idea about the second one. Is the number I found inside the magazine door significant?

I don't know what that number is ...I don't have one of these C Types...There were 3 Type C Repeaters and this number might be a model number...Someone that has one will know..The USA Made Type E 3 you have there is a Milder Model than the earlier Type E 2s...Nice smooth injectors though with a Chinese Schick Blade...;)

    Karl,
You are correct. I've been guilty of over exaggerating the facts before. You speak the truth. And after you heard my tale of woe you were the first one to search for a similar razor for me.
    :thanks:

If Roger or anyone else offers a type F to us on the Den, you'll be the first person I alert to it my friend.
(Just loan it out to me for a couple weeks when you do your razor rotation!)

Here's a site that might help.

That is definitely a Type C. I think you may have a C3.
The C1 is an open comb, the C2 is a "closed comb," and the C3 is a bar guard. Though I've not seen a photo of a C2, I don't think the one you have is a "closed comb."

There are a number of Feather Blades that have some variation of Pro in their name on Amazon. By any chance could you post a photo of the blades you are using and the magazine they come in? Thank you Sir. :chores016:

The Feather Pro blades are The FEATHER PROFFESSIONAL BLADES....There is also Pro Guard & Pro Supers....We don't want them...The Feather Professional blades come in a Black Magazine as above Sir...The box is usually black as well although the writing and packaging can vary...See this link..;)

Amazon refer to them as Feather Artist Club Professional Blades for some reason...:p

This is exactly what makes this hobby and collecting vintage razors so special. You actually get to hold and use something that has been around decades, sometimes centuries, and has been a part of someone else's daily life. Simply amazing and thanks for sharing!

I used the G type for the first time this morning with a Chinese Schick blade. Overall it was a great shave and I am happy with my purchase. With this blade I didn't notice a big difference in aggression to my I type but the G was more efficient. I will try out Billy's idea of a modified Feather Pro blade at some point.

Of course these thing are all personnal...But... I have got to agree with you there Sir...The G Type becomes a really mild injector with Chinese blades...They don't to it any justice actually...The Personna/Pella blades turn up the volume for sure in the G Type....Its the only injector that I use them in...The Feather Pro will take you to a different place again and trust me its a nice place....;)

Sorry for the necro post, but those are some amazing pics of your shave gear! Keep up the great work bird and I love your enthusiasm for all things SE! You've gotten me back into using my Gems and Schicks. I even order a Pal Adjustable from the bay partially because of your posts :)
