I bought another brush saw it, liked it, bid on it, won it, paid for it, now I'm waiting on it. no name, just west German. hate no names, why do I do this to my self? all I could find was a similar one on a set sold with klar soap. where is Gary when we need him. @GDCarrington, we miss you
Hello everyone, today's mail brought me a very nice example of an English Super Speed. The case is in fantastic condition as well. - I don't know what to think about this set. The case is like new, not a scratch on it. The razor is also unblemished. But the case seems as though it should be part of a #77 New set. Or at least that's what Mr Razors site shows. But if it were that old, I would expect there to be some signs of age. There are none. The case is pristine. Has anyone ever seen a set like this? Achim, if you are out there today, I would love to hear your input. That's about it people! Have a great night!
Hi gents, following up on my previous post had my first shave this morning with the RazoRock Bazooka (Fatboy). What a great experience guys, world of difference from the VDH I have started up with. It feels really well balanced, the fat handle provides mega control a big plus for a newbie like me. The weight is 5.6 ounces and really allows me to let the razor do it's work without feeling like I need to apply pressure. Very confident shave for sure. Happy with this purchase. Thanks
I don't have one, Robby. sometimes you can lookat the general shapeof the razor head and sorta see which razor the design was copied( patterned after). then look for reviews of the original. it's my understanding that many of these are made in India. which is not to say that's bad, one of my favorites is from there( Matador). only tosay styles get cornfruzed and names get to be semantics. if this one shaves you nice, post it proudly. the only bad thing I've read about any of these, ifs that they are made of a metal called zamac, then chrome covered. be careful, rinse it off, pat it dry, it should last a lifetime( or close, depending how old you are). let us know how you like the big handle.
Waiting on this rare beauty in near mint condition (The kind seller even threw in a tub of Jabonman's shaving soap, Rose scented)
Felt like I needed to find out how a $100 cartridge razor feels like...especially since I found a NIB one for $23.
I know, I know, but I have a soft spot for these style of brush handles. At the price I bought it half of what the handle sells for and knot basically tossed in for free. I need someone to lockout my palpal account as I am too weak to do so myself. LOL
Very nice....I never really comment on DE razors anymore, but I do on occassion grab a great shave from my 1952 Black Tip Super Speed....Yep, actually just this past week, I got an as good as it gets 3 passer from my Super Speed...
