I get as good of shave off this razor as any I own. The edge was finished on a Thurri and I had a real nice shave this morning. For some reason I'm really into this pure knot. It's starting to be quite agreeable with my face. Have a good one.

Meibner Tremonia Strong n Scottish - very peaty & smokey scotch scent which is ok by me & it lathers pretty easily but just has no glide or slickness. Three times I tried it and I am done with it

homemade brush/ 3 band knot of unknown origin

This knot is a terrible shedder. I'll keep combing until I run out of hair or it quits shedding. It has straightened out quite a bit but still loses some hair. It is very dense and soft, we'll see how it turns out. Excellent shave this morning, have a good one.To all you Jarheads, Happy Marine Corps Birthday!

  10. I disassembled this vintage Swiss-made frame back for a thorough cleaning and polishing (100+ years of gunk build-up); finished off the edge on an old Escher waterstone.

  11. Must be a simpsons transplant, I have a older comodore that that shed alot. What worked for me was straight paint like and swirling strokes on a dry towel after each use. Draws out the rebels quicker and eventually stops. Knot dependant of coarse. Confirms no soap left and dries quicker as well. Give it a whirl it beats pulling hairs from a foamed up face.

  19. Thank's. It's abalone, picked it up at a flee market for five bucks. Hot water bath, closed openings with silacone then sealed it with ca.
Just enough texture inside it to make it perfect for whipping lather up so when I saw it I had to grab it.
