Be prepared to wonder why you have all of your other razors... It's a good thing they are works of industrial art - otherwise you might decide they add no value in your den. :git:

The PAL Adjustable has caused some controversy in Forums without a doubt ....The first thing I will say is that this is a "Thinking Mans Injector" and as far as I am concerned some folks just aint thinkers....Some folks just cant seem to use it properly and when it was brought out it was away ahead of its time and folks weren't quite ready for it and the same goes for today...;)

The PAL Adjustable can be a quite a Mild to being a very Aggressive injector...The Schick Adjustable is a Pussy Cat by comparison in my books.. The PAL Adjustable is not as intuitive to use as a Schick or a PAL Injectomatic for that matter...Its got a very subtle Sweet Spot...Probably the subtlest Sweet Spot on any razor I have...You have to feel it rather than look for it...The Ancient Chinese Gung Fu Masters had an old saying..."Chi is like the Shy Girl"... "If you look for the Chi" ..."It will hide behind the tree just like the Shy Girl"...The "Sweet spot is the Shy Girl" on the PAL Adjustable...When you feel your whiskers cutting in almost silent mode then you have found it as there is very little audible feedback with this Injector and that's correct..

Another wee thing that confuses the hell out of some folks is that the PAL Adjustable works the opposite from what most imagine...This injector works by Adjustment's on the Horizontal plane ...When its on its Mildest (L) setting the comb is full open and shows the largest blade gap...When its on its Most Aggressive (H) setting the comb is fully back and shows the smallest blade gap...This is because when the comb is fully back it offers the most blade exposure although the gap is smaller...:p

I would suggest starting on the middle setting to find the sweet spot and getting a feel for it...The sweet spot is easier to find on a milder setting...I would also suggest using a Chinese Schick Blade...its a Match made in Heaven Sir...Trust me on that one...One other small thing that also concerns folks about them...When the PAL Adjustable is on its Highest most Aggressive Setting the Spring is released ...In other words the Adjustment mechanism gets slacker or looser the higher the setting...That's usually nothing to worry about....That's correct...As I mentioned above this injector works the opposite way from any other Adjustable razor..;)

Oh & Yeah...They are one of the Finest Whisker Whacking Tools of War ever made in my humble opinion if you can "Find the Shy Girl"...:rah:

I received my Rasoir Louis from France yesterday and put it into service immediately today. I love the simple and artful design. It is incredibly lightweight and was such a contrast to my outing with the C3 yesterday. It needed a full one and half shim to position the blade properly and the blade guides are fixed (vs. spring loaded), so I was pleased that the fit was pretty much perfect. So far, so good.:happy088:

The shave itself was very smooth and efficient. It was smooth and easy to handle right from the start and never varied. Even in the difficult areas of my chin and surrounding area I could pass the blade over my skin with confidence and ease. After the first pass I wondered about how efficient or aggressive this razor was going to be as a good bit of stubble remained. However, by the second pass this was no longer a question. I knew this was going to be one of my closer shaves. And, by the third pass it was true. I barely did any touch up and my face is smooth, smooth, smooth. In fact, this may be the best shave I've gotten from a non-injector razor. I had one tiny, tiny cut and one weeper but I was pushing it in places so no surprise there. Wow, a really great shave - it's as simple as that. I love this razor :happy036:

(And who doesn't like being able to say they just spent quality time alone with a French Hoe...)

Had my first shave with my new NOS Championship L, and the "Ultra Platinum" Blades made in Holland. An L Injector is an L Injector, but the made in Holland blades are extremely sharp and smooth. A great shave today

Small addition to the "Some things to bear in mind..." Don't do this in the kitchen or other area of the house where you might regret losing track of the small end that gets cut off. Mine skittered off somewhere into the unknown. I spent about 5 minutes searching about and turning everything upside down. Somehow I felt compelled to find a loose sharp object in our kitchen before my wife did. :happy102:

Logona Mann After Shave Splash (From Germany)

Couldn't get my photo to down load today from my phone so I stole this pic...I had a my second shave with a Feather Pro Blade in my Type E 2 today and here again all I can say is ..:happy036:What another Darn close super close all over BBS Result and an irritation free shave..The Type E/Pro blade combo is ever so smooth & smooth..The Feather Pro is just so forgiving in the Type E 2...It is shaving as darn close as a PAL Injectomatic I reckon albeit with a few more touch ups...I am so aware of the hairs in my ears for some reason as the rest my Coupon is so smooth...Smooth as Silk...I can get a DFS with one pass with this combo and a BBS in most places with two passes....But Hey...That final pass just hits the button and my Logona Mann aftershave Splash is the Icing on the Cake...I am not a shaving product type of guy but Logonna Mann Organic stuff from Germany is just to refreshing and so kind to the skin...The Feather Pro is my Go blade for the Type E 2 that's for sure..;)
The Type E 2 & Feather Pro Blade Combo Rocks...:git:

I think it's a great razor, l finally found that I just put it on the high setting and left it there. I agree that it lets you know when the angle is correct. It's not aggressive in my opinion and experience with it. Set it in the middle and go from there.

Ive only given her a quick soak in soapy bubbles and a two min polish with Silvo but it brightened right up. Im sure if a gave it a serious buffing it would gleam like new. Im going to try a shimmed SE blade in it to see how it looks.

Seventh day in a row today with the Type F and it was the best shave yet. I had a new Plat plus loaded and two passes = BBS. One little touch up required around the freshly healed wound inflicted from my last shave with a straight was all that was required for perfection.

To the rescue again Billy and much thanks! Clearly, you are very familiar with the Pal adjustable! Hopefully the "shy girl" will be found and will be willing to chop down some whiskers for me :)

+1. More than a tad overoptimistic, I thought. Decimal point misplaced?

Is there anyone out there who's interested in splitting up a purchase of these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/60-vtg-1980s-Schick-Twin-Injector-Razor-Blades-NOS/111818960578?_trksid=p2050601.c100085.m2372&_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20140211132617&meid=a3c3857882114a90ac01b4bdd19f6f6b&pid=100085&rk=1&rkt=4&sd=111818960578&clkid=1046113789739852507&_qi=RTM2067267

I'd be willing to take 15 to 30 of them. I'd be willing to take the shipment and reship (at cost) to others. I'm also happy to let someone else do that if they prefer. If you're interested, feel free to PM me and we'll figure it out.

    First come, first served! :happy088:
