Nov 10 Focus shave 10 Day 2 for the Knize Ten soap. Today I used warm and not hot lather and it seemed to improve the lather. Today's test is upgraded to using a 2011 R41, my favourite DE with a Super Iridium which is my favourite blade. I worked the soap like moderate works the candidates in the recent presidential debates. Nice slick, creamy lather. The R41 is a pleasure the blade gap is so wide I can use a variety of angles and the whiskers give up in submission as soon as the see it. 4 passes and all is wonderful except for one weeper. Alright this is what I strive for, a definite long last BBS, so smooth. Applied the alum and was disappointed by a few tingling spots. If it was not for the irritation then this would have been an epic shave. I'm sorry to hear about your fall Vince! Take it easy and I hope everything heals OK and you're feeling better soon.
No Variation November! Day 9 - 9 November 2015 Day nine on the GSB and it still shaves smooth. No Variation, 2 pass DFS. Props to @DDuckyMark for taking the Tech Technique challenge! Was out downtown with Mrs. Samurai, had a great time. Puppy killed another iPad cover. Snow moving on to the prairie tomorrow. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado. Have a terrific Tuesday!
Thank you one and all for all the well-wishes. I know the 30DC always has each other's back - even if Igor gets confused from time to time. Stay healthy my friends!
Whoa real nice of you Chris - the last thing I needed with broken ribs is to laugh! But noooooo - you had to remind me that elephant tusks are much easier to get from the elephants in Alabama - especially in Tuscaloosa!
I actually felt bad for the LSU freshman QB. You could tell he had a ton of heart, but they couldn't protect him and he hadn't seen a defense like that before. He was getting hit on his zone reads before he could make the exchange. He was also baffled by the lack of corner blitzes and inability to throw the wheel as a safety valve, but our coaches know the last thing you'd ever do is to blitz into a read option. Ergo, that LSU kid really got beat up.
Yes of course, and that's what that clip is known for, but the Tuscaloosa pun is right up there as well, for me as least!
I was worried pre game that Fournette would be able to open up our secondary. But apparently the Bama coaches had the scheme figured out on film. The total inability of LSU to move the chains in the running game was a bit surprising.
Science! Nice work! I am pretty much convinced that Derby just simply isn't sharp enough for you. Challenge is graded pass/fail. We shall call that a pass, with an asterisk for a missed spot...but a pass indeed!
Good morning everyone After yesterday's slip I don't hear voices any more, so I am back to NOVember routine. With one exception: I used the preshave soap sample I got from Stirling. - Stirling pre shave soap - D.R. Harris Sandalwood - Semogue 620 - Mühle R89 - Gillette Silver Blue (new blade) - Nivea Cool Kick After Shave Fluid Though the preshave soap produced some nice and slick foam, I think it did not do anything for me that any other face or handwash soap could have done. And I really believe that these Gillette blades don't show their full potential on the first shave. They just seem to improve on the second and third. Do I just imagine that or has any of you had a similar experience? Other than that it was a pretty uneventful 2-pass-shave, again very smooth and free of irritations. Nivea was a nice finish. And now I'm off to work.
