Very, very nice razor. It would be interesting to see how Gillette would handle the warranty if you tried to exercise it. I imagine they would probably give you a Fusion or a Mach III.............
Plastic Clix and Simplex Military razor both with metal top caps. An old Merkur with case and blade banks. A4 Gillette Blue tip. All from the flea market vendors at my local farmers market.
After cleaning party with bleach, antiseptic liquid and tooth paste I got this result on Geniol Slant DE Razor. It's a little bit shinier than before and got rid of its dirt
Received this Wilkinson Protector "Metal" made for the German market. Designed by Sir Kenneth Grange. The silver part is, as the name eludes to, solid metal and it probably weight about twice that of the more modern Protector 3D shown here:
Thats a silver plated razor, grab some Wrights silver polish and a soft cloth and I bet you will see a huge difference. Never use anything harsh like Tarn-x or a silver dip.
Received this lovely Never-Shed brush. Sure, the knot needs to be replaced but apart from that it's in great condition. It reminded me of an old EverReady brush that I have, which is also in need of some TLC: Here they are next to an SOC brush to provide a sense of scale:
Received this 'khaki razor kit' with a couple of razors. It was $10 but it might not have been my smartest purchase ever. I was attracted to it because of the unusual handle on the non-Gillette razor in there. The kit arrived safely: The Gillette looks OK but maybe not super-exciting... the 'unknown' has a rather like look to it but looking at it closer and feeling it it does come across as a rather inexpensive, mass produced zincish $1 razor. Well, can't win 'em all
