:signs011: I just used it today myself.

This is not a menthol freak's AS, but it's a good start. For me it's cooling, gives enough of a kick and I haven't met anyone yet who does not like it's subtle scent.

My first shave since I fractured a couple of my ribs on Sunday night.

    Three-pass shave. (WTG,XTG,ATG)
    Face-lather.

This shave was a struggle because my body still hurts, certain motion causes extreme pain and the pain meds make me groggy.

All of that adds up to: A great shave!
    Go figure.

Must be because of the extra focus and slow pace that it required. Twelve hours later I am still soooo smooth.
I’m still only 6 shaves into the month, but can see that with time, patience and practice - I should be able to develop the skill to make this an everyday razor. The shaves I've gotten have been so good and have come so quickly in the learning curve that I think I'd be remiss not to get this razor into my top rotation, if not at the top.

If it sounds like I'm hesitant, it's because I am. This razor is different than any razor I've used in my short wetshave experience. The weight, size and dimensions make a difference. To me anyway. I'm struggling with the grip, balance point, length, weight, etc., of something so different than I'm used to. Which is one reason that I am just amazed by the great shaves that have come so quickly in spite of all of that.

I’m confident that with time…familiarity will come. I still have two-thirds of the month left.
    Cheers!

Day 3 for the Knize Ten soap and it final test, a straight razor. Due the slight irritation with the R41 I selected a SR that is not aggressive.

The lather seemed good and the first 2 passes felt smooth. The 3rd and my partial 4th pass felt a little rough. The alum test revealed stinging in most place and my faces looked a little red. The shave was a good solid DFS. This is most irritation I have had in a straight shave in 2 months. Sadly it looks like the Knize Ten did not make the grade for SR shaving:(

    Irritation B-, closeness B+

Be careful what you ask for........that means you'd be in charge of keeping the cartel in line too. I'm telling you, sometimes I'd trade them for all my ex-wives just to lose some drama! :angry032:

Well it's too late now. The boys are on their way to the airport. Unless you'd like me to switch them up and send the exes instead? Either way works for me. Simplifies my life amazingly. You're such a great friend!!:happy108:

Perhaps you should introduce the boys to the exes and see who's standing after the dust settles.

Another great shave today. Not quite as good as yesterday but still a solid A on the shave and an A+ on irritation. I've been running behind all morning so everything was more rushed than usual. Finished off with a splash of Myrsol F/Extra.

Strange shave for me today ... more irritation than after the last few shaves - maybe because I tried too hard to achieve BBS

    The usual setup

    - D.R. Harris Sandalwood
    - Semogue 620
    - Mühle R89
    - Gillette Silver Blue (#2)
    - Tüff Sensitiv Rasierwasser
    - Aloe Vera Gel

I scraped some of the top skin layer off of the one critical spot I have on my face: upper lip, left corner of my mouth. I have to be really cautious there, whatever razor/blade I am using - no idea why. I cut myself almost once every other week there - and then I have to skip shaving that area for a few days. I felt some irritation after the first pass, but gave it a second anyway - big mistake :( Maybe I should just grow a mustache along with my goatee and not shave the upper lip at all :think002:

On the plus side: It really was a BBS shave with 2 passes and just a little touchup. So A+ on the shave, B- on the irritation.

    Gillette Super Speed Y3
    Vulfix Super Badger (660)
    Proraso Sandalwood cream
    Pinaud Clubman Original

Shave #4 with the second Gillette Silver Blue in my Birth Quarter Super Speed.
Face lather and 1 pass XTG/ATG. Great reduction. Wet my face and neck and did a small amount of touch up where I could easily feel stubble. This gave me a near BBS. A cold water rinse followed by small amount of touch up and caught the baby. The Pinaud Clubman was mild.

A nice comfortable one pass BBS from the Gillette Silver Blue in my Birth Quarter Super Speed. Nice to be back to my Proraso cream. Plenty of lather and great protection. I changed portions of my first pass slightly. Instead of keeping the direction S to N on my cheeks and N to S on my neck, I’m going ATG in some areas. My jawline and underneath my goatee for example. This reduced the amount of touch up that I needed today.

Happy Veterans Day to everyone who has served or is currently serving in the military. You are the reason we are still free.

I like the Chiseled Face Soaps, because their scent really develops over time - and they all have that special something. I had 3 samples, Ghost Town Barber, Sherlock and Easy Street - all great! When I first smelled Sherlock I thought: Oh my, that's just a huge pile of damp soil ... but when lathered on your face, there's quite a bit of leather, sweet spice and a even some barbershop in it.

Too bad shipping to Germany flat out doubles the cost of the soap itself, or else I would have ordered GTB and Sherlock right away.
