  1. Only 4 oz. on the Layrite I see, but it does take quite a while to go through even 4.

Back from my trip. Shave 6 of the focus, I think. Used the pain stick today, and got a pretty good shave. BBS on face, chin, and jaw, and DFS on the neck. Overall B on closeness, and C- on irritation. Got three weepers, and some irriation, but when I put the Alum on it burned, a lot. Shave felt better than the previous two with this razor. Made me appriciate the effortlessness of the Tech I used while traveling.
  9. Prep: Hot shower w/Stirling South Padre soap
    Soap: TSD Floid Blue Type
    Brush: Omega Pro 49
    Razor: Mongoose B3
    Blade: Feather Professional (4)
    Post: Stirling WH/Aloe orange chill
    After: Myrsol F/Extra
Best lather yet with the Omega. I feel like the brush is breaking in rather than any improvement in my technique. I even had enough lather for my daughter to join me for a couple of passes. Smooth sailing with the 'goose and no sign of degradation on the blade. 3 passes, very little touch up and BBS. A splash of the Myrsol and its off to Trivia Night.
  10. The Omega 49 was my first and only brush when I started DE shaving. It does get much better as it breaks in. I liked mine so much, I transplanted the knot into one of my Rubberset 400 handles.

  11. That's why I'll just settle for the 3.5 oz Mennen Skin Bracer next year as part of my "Happy 85th Birthday Bill Mennen" celebration. The 5 and 7 are too much, I think.

My daughter is sick, I just gotta make sure big momma doesn't get it. :scared007:
I'm making dinner! Baked chicken and smashed potatoes, not sure what veggie.

Day 12 on the GSB!! 2 passes for easy DFS. Just cruising for eighteen more days now...theis blade will see a day thirteen, that's a record for me on GSB. Alum was super calm, finished up with the TSD 2x Iced FW AS. Winter has arrived on the prairie, was cold all day. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado!

    Have a fantastic Friday!

  18. Nov 13 Focus shave 13

Day 2 with Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, today the lather gods were not as kind or so it seemed. Despite changing the amount of soap and water I could never get it the yogurt consistency I like, it looked like it was airy. I was worried that the shave would be rough. I thought about using a straight but decided to go with my Cobra Classic.

The shave felt a tiny bit rough and I was worried about irritation. I did my normal 4 passes. Applied the alum and only the faintest tingling, basically no irritation. Thee icing on the case a definite BBS. In the end an excellent shave.

  19. Hi! Proraso has been doing really well. I am placing a tbsp of water on top of the soap, then picking up all the water with a dry Plisson. Then I add some water as needed to the knot. Thought La Toja was my new fave, but revisiting Proraso has made me wonder...
