Shave of the day Pre- Hot shower, Jumping Juniper shampoo cake from Lush Soap/cream- ARKO Brush- Proraso boar Razor- WEBER polished head all stainless steel Blade- Personna Lab Blue Post- Cold water rinse, Humphreys witch hazel, Lucky tiger Bay rum and Vitru Age combat aftershave balm First time I get a successful shave with ARKO, hmm… I have been avoiding it for a few months hahaha. Now I know I can get a good shave with ARKO. I could have loaded a little bit more for the second pass to make the lather a bit thicker, but I didn’t. I will next time. I have been trying a few blades lately but I i gotten a little tired of inconsistent shaves. I have 2 more blades to try before I stick to what is known to work, Personna lab blue and Astra SP. The blades I wanna try is, Gillette Nacet and Pilsilver iridiums. If they are good for me then i’ll know. Some WH, Lucky tiger AS and an ”age combat” balm for a post shave =) The age combat balm is a 30 ml AS balm test I got in a Man box subscription, it is very nice, but a full size 50 ml is like 40$ or more. So I won’t be buying it hahaha

Boker Master Razor straight razor Blade: Feather Professional (2) Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair Soap: RazoRock - Tobacco #2 After: Home made ASB Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Welcome to Tobacco Tuesday! The Tobacco #2 was whipped into a nice lather by the Vie Long brush. The Mongoose and the Boker made short work of the whiskers. The ASB and the Prada was a nice finish for this Darn Fine Shave. I love this combo, it never fails to deliver the easiest shaves with the best results - newbies take note!!
I've been away on a business road trip for a week getting well acquainted with my GEM G-Bar. Waiting for me upon my return was a newly acquired Schick Type D. It spent the night in a hot soak of liquid dish soap followed by some light toothbrush and toothpaste scrubbing. For my Wednesday morning shave: Stirling Pre-Shave Soap Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Astra day 3 Henri et Victoria Fall's Lumberjack SS Henri et Victoria Bergamot Vetiver AS My new soap and aftershave will be having their maiden voyage and after smelling both of them, I'm already very impressed. From what I've been told the soap lathers so easily, has a very nice outdoorsy kind of scent, and even has a mild menthol sensation with great post-shave care. The Bergamot Vetiver aftershave smells so nice and summery with a refreshing note of menthol as well. As I posted in the Haul thread - the manufacturer lives in the province of Quebec and he's a two hour drive from where I live!

Guys, I couldn't resist doing a test-lather of the Fall's Lumberjack soap. It lathers so easily, smells terrific - just like an autumn day in a Quebec forest as the manufacturer says. There's a very MILD menthol feeling, so it's no face-freezer but I can see that it's still very pleasant. The Bergamot Vetiver aftershave is VERY mentholated and nice. I slapped on a little and it's fabulous. I'm going to really enjoy my shave tomorrow! Now, a few words to compliment Mr Claude Pilon, the owner of Henri et Victoria: Claude, je te felicite de tout mon coeur, et je te remercie infiniment. Ce savon et apres-rasage sont tellement magnifique. Comme ma peau est sensible, tes produits sont tres utiles et apaisant. Merci encore et bon succes!
Wednesday's Dove Men Face Wash Tabac Shaving Soap Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip Gillette Super Adjustable Astra Super Platinum CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Aqua Velva AS The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #27 Silver Tip brush. Two passes with my Gillette Super Adjustable razor and an Astra Super Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... Eighteenth shave of No Variation NoVember.
