It's an inexpensive Terra Cotta bowl I picked up in a small Mexican fishing village (Puerto Morellos). I thought it would look good in my SOTD pictures. Not bad for 45 pesos, about $3. :)

Great setup today. Toby does some fantastic work on his handles. What type of finish is that? Not the typical black or black matt or gun metal gray. Really like that finish on this one.

Do you use the bowl or just for décor purposes?

    Thanks!

The handle finish is cerakote. It's actually the normal black not the matte. Just enough shine but nothing flashy.

As to Toby's work it has become my favorite. Price to quality is amazing.

Thank u for the compliment by all credit goes to Toby!

    Schick I2 razor
    Schick Super Chrome blade
    Vulfix "Strand" boar brush
    Vintage Williams SS
    Osage Rub/Jason's Aloe Gel
Pinaud Lime Sec cologne w/added menthol

I had heard wonderful things about vintage Schick blades so thought I would try out a Super Chrome that had been pif'ed to me. Kinda disappointing actually, certainly no better than my regular Personna's. Still a decent shave and and I'm sorta ready to go. BTW, vintage Williams is the bomb!!! Now go enjoy your day folks

    '62 Slim Adjustable (4)
Chinese Gillette Super Blue Blade (3)

I think the blade has had it. Two days of growth and a decent shave with no tugging or pulling, but needing lots of cleanup which I ended up doing with a Tech loaded with an Astra SP. I suppose I could try the blade in a more aggressive razor (or a more aggressive setting on the Slim) if I wanted to get some more life out of it, but really don't see the point.

That's what I thought. Smart move to keep the bottom safe from water.

image.jpeg Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech NDC (declared 1947) Birth Year
Brush: Rubberset 400 #3 WD 24/50 Silvertip (Jedi Lightsaber)
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
Cream/Soap: Castle Forbes cedarwood & sandalwood cream
    Blade: Feather (2)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Old Spice original Shulton 1980 glass AS (gift from my father in law)

Needed a change of pace, after a week of the same thing. The Castle whipped up nicely with the Silvertip, soft but great backbone. The Gillette Tech is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup, smooth. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm and then some Old Spice from 1980. The Spice is nice, go get some!

    Kent Mach3 razor
Kent T12 30mm brush - first time used and this thing is huge but really fun to use

    11/18/2015 Windsor Wednesday!

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Mongoose B2 Matte, French Fau Frame Back straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional (3)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Windsor
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme

Another good shave. The Windsor was whipped into a thick and rich lather by the #6 brush. The Goose and the Frenchy did their jobs with little effort. The AV and the Prada were a nice finish for this Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!
