Schick Platinum Plus only last one or two shaves and don't provide a a great shave at all. The others Ive got are vintage Army surplus (black injector) that are brutal. The Chick blades are worlds better. I have gotten 10 shaves typically from a blade and always consistantly good blade to blade.
I always thought these would look good with the injection mold seam sanded off and then polished. This is a cool looking handle. One I dont think Ive seen before.
Awaiting my first shipment of Personna \ Ted Pella blades. Going to see how they fair. Seems that when ever I try changing blades between injectors razors I ruin the edge and decided not to attempt anymore.
PIF arrived courtesy of @americanshamrock and the "Monty Hall" PIF... Stirling Razor, to be featured on the December 30 Day Focus thread! Thanks Chris for the opportunity to try this!
November has been a good month. First up: 4 samples from Stirling. MITA, Glacial Lemon Chill, Pumpkin Spice, and Hot Apple Cider. They also threw in a sample of Bay Rum bath soap. Next, a 1941-45 military issue Contract Tech, NOS. I can't determine if there should have been a case with this. This was part of a hanging razor display I won in a raffle here on TSD. Finally, an Old Spice Morning Refresher coffee mug, 1984-85. Beautiful shape, and very reasonably priced. I may not buy anything else in November. Unless I really, really want it.
That looks great I used this tip on my Pinaud btw and it cleaned up the inside real nice: http://lifehacker.com/5609423/clean-inside-irregular-bottles-with-rice I also hear that sand works well
My anniversary present from the wife showed up a couple days early and was allowed to open it. This is quite the custom pc of work. The brush has copper inlays with my initials, badge number and my FD logo imbedded. The box is made from some cool hardwood burl. This will be a family heirloom for sure.
