    Well if he does, fine.

But if you are confident that this is a unique razor that just needs some specialty fix and you got it for a "bargain price" - why not send to a razor shop? Razor Emporium or the like.

    Ah, found it!
The razor I remember seeing belongs to @blackstangal and is in this thread from 2008.
    Here are his photos reposted.
I'll see if I can't find the other thread as well, on another forum, where the person wrote a bit more about this model.

    WOW!

    Some memory!
A mind like a steel trap you have! PM him and see if you can find some history. Then send it out to be reconditioned.
And then send it to me!!! (...I figured I'd beat out @mrchick for saying that first.)

    Congrats!

Does the Schick Repeating razors have individual serial numbers?

Schick has never been known for putting useful serial number information on their razors - but, if Mr @GDCarrington is correct here then it might be that the repeating razors have unique serial numbers!

    Here's Gary's Type A w/ a "serial number" of "106".
Maybe with all the repeating razors that keep pouring in to this group - and if this indeed is a serial number, maybe we can build a little database :)

Update: I just checked my Type A and it has a number "96" on it

Below is Gary's to show where to look for the number:

I don't understand why that spring is stuck cause there should be nothing to hold it from coming out on that runner...Its just a plain metal spring with nothing to hold it from coming out...I am guessing that there may be a blade jammed in there...And yeah, this is no Frankenstein Razor...;)

Mine has a number there I think but I cant make it out...I am guessing that they are the number of that razor as they came off the production line....In other words the 106 razor that was made and so forth...:)

Maybe the blade holder is stuck in there.

Right I forgot about that as I took mine out...Yeah the magazine will be stuck then...It doesn't take much to damage them...The seller could have stuffed it in the wrong way round for that matter....The only thing that I can suggest is getting a long piece of straight wire bent over at the end to make a sort of hook and grab the magazine with it rather than pulling on that spring....A thin weld rod or something akin to that...;)

I shaved with the Type A this morning and I'm pretty pleased with the results. I was cautious because it is a new razor and the blade exposure is different from my B type. I hand loaded a Chinese Schick blade and carefully made the first pass, paying extra attention to the adams apple area where I'm prone to nicks. I lathered up again and made another pass with a little more confidence and it felt pretty good at that point. I went around one more time for a DFS finish. I'm happy to say no blood was drawn! The AS went on nice with no burning or irritation. This is a cool little shaver. It holds the blade nice and tight, something I was hoping for because of different thickness of the old blades.:happy088::happy088::happy088: image.jpeg

Thanks, I'll try that. Should that fail it might be, as suggested, time for it to take a trip to RazorEmporium for a tune-up....
