I've been looking for a nice one for a while. I got both these razors for $20.00 shipped which is what they usually go for by themselves. I'm happy.
Waited three weeks for this one to arrive from France - today I found it in the mail: Looks pretty much like the #44 set from 1934 on mr-razor's website, except that his box is blue and mine is red. I'm going to give the razor a nice cleanup and polish soon. And I received some soap samples today: Haven't tried any of them yet, but scent-wise my favorites are the LaToja, Portus Cale, RazoRock Mudder Focker and WSP Gaelic Tweed
Thank you - yes, I think for 25 Euros that wasn't a bad deal. Amazing though how these old razors stand the test of time. You wouldn't think that this one is more than 80 years old...
Today's haul, thanks to Bob @Bobcat thanks again! Most excited about the Maggards razor with the OC head and the Ozark Mountains Stirling soap. Smells amazing Also I'm from Missouri, home of the Ozarks, so it's fitting
I'm always wondering where they have been hiding all these years, just glad you found it. You should love the shave the new type delivers. Good score!
Also got this in the mail today - the new, non-official TSD forum sock - DarnTough Put them on soon as they arrived and I think I might be in love. Thanks @BigCabDaddy for the enablement Here are some photos until the new Sock-sub-forum opens up.... And, this is what I call a warranty!
