Here are a couple of the injectors I'm most thankful for...
My formerly NOS L1. I've had her about a year now and shaved with it a lot.

And my Golden 500. This is the one I've been using most lately.

I laugh out loud at this Billy! "What do you know it disintegrated" Never thought Looney Tunes was funny as a kid, but it all makes sense now:D

I went with the Schick I1 for today's shave. This was the first injector I purchased last year and remains one of my favorite injectors. As expected it the I1 delivered a mild, effortless and close shave.

That's interesting..I wasn't aware of the change in design because there clearly is one...I have the one to the left with the Bigger Bevel....I am wondering which Model came first though...The interesting thing is that the "Blade Exposure" actually looks the same from here ....I haven't had any problems with my Adjustable and its an Almighty shaver but they may have made the gap slightly bigger to make it easier to find the angle...Its the "Blade exposure" that matters though in terms of Aggressiveness...That is saying that all is fine with it of course....:)

I'd probably go with the Golden 500 if I could only keep one but luckily I can keep both (plus a few more :))
I also have an I2 but no pics handy and that ones a real superstar too.
Oh, and there's my J1 which is also a great shaver.
I guess I gravitate more to the I's and J's but occasionally I'll break out a G. I still have my eyes out for an E2.

It really is a very good soap and very easy to lather. I like the fact that numerous scents are available. The fact that all profits go to support this forum is a huge bonus.

The black handled I1 is a rare one according to the Schick Bible....nice one. Ive got the common beige one and its a great shaver.

Thank you. Though the pic doesn't show it is a black handle with golden head. The thing was nasty beyond believe when I bought it. The seller left the used blade clogged with hair in place. ugh....

yikes....although mine is the common duckling of the family it is near mint in the original case. The only cased injector I own actually.

I have a cased J3 Golden 500 that I still had the plastic blade in place and the unused set of Schick blades when I bought it. It is in mint condition. I take this one on my motorcycles trips. The pic below is from one of my bike trip earlier this year.

Still obsessed with my Type D. I ended up opening it up last night and using a polishing cloth with a cleaner in it and more Simichrome. Wow, so much tarnish came up that I had to wash my hands several times to keep from getting it back on the razor. I'm pretty certain there was virtually no plating left on the razor when I got it given the amount of tarnish. It looks great now. New pics below. :happy036:

I'm more focused now on the blade combination. I haven't felt good about the NOS Plus Plat since shave #2 and today was #4. It was tuggy and I only managed a DFS out of it. Perhaps it was just that blade but I'll try a comparison shave tomorrow with a NOS Super Chromium. Seeing how much difference some blade changes have made in a G (when I tried out a Personna in it) and an I (when I tried a Twin) I'm starting to appreciate that the blade combo is a big deal in the shave experience with any particular razor. :happy088:

Any one else playing around with different blade combinations on their razors? :git:

    Today's shave:

    ...and just for good measure...

That little bit of discoloration at the bottom edge is some left over plating I suspect.

That has came up Great Karl...Looks more like it...:happy096:....I only get about 4 decent three Pass shaves from a Schick Plat Blade...There has been too much made of USA Made Plat blades in my humble opinion...Some of the later USA Made Schick Super Chromium blades were far superior...That is to say both the Single & Twin ones...They don't come up very often for some reason...The Dutch Made Plats are a different story though...They are the Dogs Danglies...In fact all Dutch Made Injector Blades are the Business... This is where most folks loose out with Injectors...A One or Two Blade Attitude and you will not get the best from your Injector...I have been saying this for some time now...And Twin Blades in later Injectors ...Well they are just Awesome... :)

Obviously the Type F is my pride and joy. The Pal injectomatic and the I1 are both great shavers IMO and would be my pick for favorite shavers.
