Sunday- Lavender/mint PSO, Long-handle Black Beauty with a Feather blade and my own Shea-butter shave soap. Now that the incision on my knee is fully closed, I don't have to keep avoiding the area.

 

Glad you're all healed up.

 

Sunday shave with the twin blade in the type L. It was a great shave but I think the single blade works just as well. The Pinaud bay rum is a great finish with a peppery burn that shows up a minute or 2 after you put it on. Too bad tomorrow's Monday!

 

Twin blade ? I'm zooming in but can't seem to make out two blades. I'm not familiar with the razor though. Was it modified or originally made a twin ?

 

I think I'm with ya on the blade thing.
I got my hands on some twins awhile back and so far in my "L" I'm not impressed. The shave is certainly close but it's harsh.
I plan to try a twin in some other Schick models ("J", Adjustable, etc.) and see if there's any difference.

It is the promotional razor that came sealed in a can with 2 blades, I have one blade left.

 

So in the wee hours last night when I couldn't sleep, I posted an SoS of yesterday's shave that was somewhat disappointing. So disappointing that I felt as though I could get back on the horse this afternoon. Afterall, if Brock Ozweiler could do it... I did that which you're not supposed to do and swapped a bunch of things.

I gave myself a stern pep talk before embarking because in my limited experience, the Ranger is fierce. The Shark I have no experience with but it spoke well of itself. The Ranger is a stern taskmaster for me. I got a great BBS shave but I screwed up near the end trying to go over the same area twice without re-lathering. Giving such an opening to the Ranger, there will be blood.

The Dunhill Pipe Tobacco was a disappointment as a soap. What's that you say? Oh, OK. Just kidding. Inside the tin is a sample of Mike's in some unknown and unrecognizable scent. Compared to the Country Club, I found it thin. It wasn't bad -- just wasn't great. The big soap find was old tobacco tins as soap sample holders.

I do have a little irritation but I'm not convinced that is due to the shave. As I said earlier, I'm used to shaves every 3-4 days and since yesterday's shave had me already irritated, it's hard to blame today's shave on anything but that.

The Ranger is fun. Keeps me on my toes. I think next shave it will be time to go back to the Fatboy and come full circle.

Very cool. Probably not very easy to find. Not cool.

 

I think I'll ditch this blade I have 5 shaves on it and put a Chick blade in for tomorrow's shave.

 

The Ben Franklin is my favorite soap. A little clove, but some definite Frankincense. I get a little vanilla as well. Their site says some people smell root beer, and I can see that but it isn't a sweet smell in my opinion.

I don't know what the deal is but my face has still not healed from a few shaves ago. I really burned my face up bad, im sure the blade didn't help matters any because it was shave number 5. It felt smooth when I started so I figured it would be ok. The scent from the Grafton is amazing and it made a decent lather. finished off with Pacific Rush, it cooled my face down for a minute, and the cooling lotion seemed to help, but face was still beat red afterwards. Hopefully everyone had a better shave than I did today.

 

The real description of the scent sounds awesome!
