This month is perfect for me to learn skills with new-to-me equipment.

So I'm off injectors for a bit because I wanted to test drive this new-fangled SE. I've never shaved with anything but vintage razors so this has been a challenge. There has certainly been a tough learning curve for me.

Razor: Mongoose B3
Blades: Feather Artist Club Professional (3)
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Manna
Brush: Omega 31025 Scarlatti Boar
AS: Changes at will. Today: Myrsol Blue



Two-pass shave. (XTG, ATG) Face-lather.

I think I’m getting there with this razor / blade combo.

I think the learning curve has been a long one (for me) due to this being a razor unlike any I’ve ever shaved with (weight, size, etc.) PLUS the combination with this blade (first time using a Feather of any kind, and the AC Pro is unforgivingly sharp).

I’ve had some blood-letting, as recently as yesterday, but all those events, combined with a good deal of advice from around here, has made me understand this combo much better and wised me up for the specific things I need to be ever-aware of.

Today was the best shave so far. BBS on 95% of my face. Holidays will affect my routine, but I think all I need now is repetition.

Schick Route 66 Type G 4 Injector
NOS Schick Krona Blade ( Dutch ) x2
Semogue Boar Brush
Erasmic Shaving Soap (added Argan oil)
Organic Aloe Vera Gel
LOGONA Mann Aftershave Splash (From Germany)

I used a Dutch made NOS Schick Krona blade in my G Type 4 today...The silky smooth finish on the skin from these blades never ceases to amaze me...These blades are never as smooth on the first pass as some other Schick NOS blades but they sure come into their own in subsequent passes...They are a very forgiving blade that allows one to almost paint the face with them like a Modern Cartridge System...I just checked my stash & I have over 70 USA & Dutch made Schick Krona blades ...My stash has crept up on me without me realizing...Gotta stop purchasing every NOS blade that I see on EU Flea - Bay...
