I had a humdinger of a night , I had a package delivered from UPS that was on its second attempt, I was home the first attempt. The driver went to the wrong house both times, but this time I had my high powered flashlight :D I lit his truck up like it was the 4th of July! He stopped alright. Package delivered. ;)
    Wifey happy.

Bought my car on Boxing day last year. Just got a letter the day before thanksgiving that we had 3 free months of sirius xm radio. So, I activated it.

"Totally not worth the $20 or so dollars a mon... hey cool! There's an all Tom Petty, all the time channel!"

Also worth noting: After listening for a few days, I have discovered that Tom is an incredibly silly man. This makes me love him that much more.

Hello all, been awhile, yet again. Things finally have the appearance of maybe slowing down. Maybe.
Could just be another calm before the storm.
All the marching band competitions are over, so my weekends have been lighter, which also leads to no need for the sound system for the band, so my game nights are lighter - sit and enjoy the entire game instead of missing most of 2nd and 3rd quarters setting up and tearing down said sound system.
Next playoff game could be a doozy, though.

My day began last night, kind of. I saw that my 2015 calendar had NO DECEMBER on it, so I had to pull out my 2016, which had a very tiny December, 2015....not the way I like to list my "to do's", but I'll have to bear with it. But here it is-new month.

Sitting at Urgent Care waiting on my son to get his foot X-rayed. Thinks he broke his toe at school doing a science activity. Don't ask me how.

I believe I've tried that science experiment myself a time or two. Hope he heals up fast.

Woke up bright and early (well, dark and early actually) to find that I'd won the November Newbie Giveaway. Now the challenge is to not spend my entire day pondering which TSD products to try.

The verdict is no broken bones just some tendon strain. Rest and Ibuprofen.

Congrats, Jamier. Had it been me when I joined, I'm not so sure how I would have handled that "challenge".

It's been an interesting couple of days. First the good news; I have learned that my oldest niece is expecting her first child (a girl) at the end of April. The family, including her stepson, whom she adores, is over-the-moon happy.

Now the bad news; Mom is in the hospital, in Florida, where she winters. She was experiencing sharp and sudden pain in her hip, so she called for an ambulance. As she is 78 and lives alone, this was a good idea, IMO. Apparently, she has arthritis in the hip joint, which is a new problem for her.

Of course, I feel for her, but both she & my younger sister are finding their own ways to drive me nuts. Mom insists that she has a high tolerance for pain, which is simply not true. It's not like she calls 911 for a hangnail, but it's hard to assess what's really happening, when I can't entirely trust her perceptions. My sister who, in all fairness, can be helpful in many ways, is just very judgemental. Granted, Mom can be hard to deal with sometimes, but I can't help but wonder how easily my sister will handle being elderly & living alone, when the time comes.

OK, done ranting. Thanks for lending an ear (so to speak.)

    @Sara-s
    Amen.

Am I the only one who thinks that finding out the sex of an unborn baby is cheating?!?!? (unless, of course, there are complications with the pregnancy)
It spoils the surprise!!! It's like opening Christmas gifts on Thanksgiving!!! It's just not right!!! :D
