    today's shave
hot water wash with nivea men's face wash and a washcloth
    Parker pure badger
    Truefitt& Hill 1805
    Muhle r41
    Ladas(3)
    Crusella& co kolonia
today's shave was nice. love my big weighted Parker, always feels luxurious. T&H, used to be my idea of the ultimate. Route 66 is threatening it's status. three passes with the r41, had to pay attention the whole shave, I'm smooth as normal, but not quite as comfy. finished with kolonia.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra Classic, Friodur Inox straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional (7)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: Cella
After: Home made ASB, Nivea cooling after shave balm
    Cologne: Akthar Noir

Another great shave! The Cella exploded from the #6 brush into a nice and slick lather. The Friodur and the Cobra took down stubble with ease. The Nivea and the the Akthar Noir were a nice finish for this Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

    Schick J1 razor
    Personna blade
    Vintage Williams SS
    RazoRock Plissoft brush
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Pinaud Clubman A/S

1st use of the RazoRock brush and it worked better than I thought. It has a large glue bump and I was concerned that would affect the way the brush worked. Fears unfounded! Got a great lather and although the brush is harder to splay than my Plisson/L'Occitane, it worked well. All in all, another nice shave. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Goodness this IB Rosa di Bossolasco is wonderful! Beautiful light rose scent, slick, protective, almost lathers on its own. The Grey Flannel my wife bought some time ago for me, not my favorite.

As I suspected yesterday, turning the SA up to '5' brings it to about what I'd expect from my Slim at '4', a nice smooth shave. Oiling the TTO was definitely the right move for this razor. Towards the end of the shave, though, I experienced something I have never noticed before- hand fatigue. I assume that this had something to do with holding the longer handle near the end. Nevertheless, it was a bit disturbing.

BTW, does anybody else find the SA handle a bit slippery? Is the later diamond-shape handle any better?

All in all, another one-pass DFS with minimal touchups. I'm finally liking this razor; I just prefer my Slim more.
