Sorry to hear about the not so great outing with your PAL. I just got mine a few weeks ago and as i was on November no variation. I was only able to try it once. But my shave was the best shave for a first time shave on a new razor, i ended up abandoning November so i could use it.

i am only a fee months into wet shaving and i think that my PAL will be one of my true favorite razors.

The YMMV thing is so true. Funny how everybody's shave is so different. Don't give up on it yet.

That would be my guess... If it happens twice I think we can rule out the blades being a dud...

Oh, I'm not giving up on it. No, no, no. It is the King of my den. Best razor in my collection. Just decided to see what would happen with a Feather in it. :happy088:

I have the GEM trilogy [Bullet-flying wing / Clog-Pruf / OCMM] and used the proper shaving GEM blades via a shave site. I found that the blades are not as sharp as most DE blades.
I've decided to see if I can sharpen one of these and recently ordered a particle 3000# sharpening stone for the fun of it. (As long as I don't cut myself it will be fun that is)
    Will get back with feedback.

Yeah...That's not right...You have to be really careful when putting them into a Standard Injector Key...I don't use a Chinese Schick Magazine cause I find that it can be a tad harder to get a blade back into them...Could just be me though...I use an NOS PAL Magazine or an NOS Schick Magazine..Its easy to blunt a blade that way..;)

I don't understand that one...I find these Gem blades to be sharp...Don't know how long you have been using SEs but it could be angle issues here...There are all sorts of views on stropping these blades...Mine is...Skull & Cross Bones..:)

Been using Schick variants for a while and really like my Canadian E3 and M2 adjustable.
Tried varied techniques with the GEM's the OCMM seems to be the only one that works on my mostly grey beard.

Great acquisition. I flirted with putting a bid on that lot because I saw it as well, but my wallet was spilling cobwebs instead of $$.

Chinese Schick Injector Blade x 2

Erasmic Shaving Cream (added Argan oil)
    Organic Aloe Vera Gel
LOGONA Mann Aftershave Splash (From Germany)

The Almighty Schick Type F done it again today...The Coveted "Dolphin Smooth Finish"....This thing just doesn't miss a Whisker...Once this blade has ran its course I am going to use a Dutch NOS Schick Injector blade for a Wee change of pace...The more that I am using NOS & cut down Feather Pro Blades ....The more that I am getting spoiled...Current injector blades are getting used less & less in my rotation...Good Karma..:p

I love the stuff posted in this thread, but anyway shave 2 with the C3 today was excellent. This might be my favorite of the repeating razors but tomorrow's shave will be the C2. I'm going to see how much of a difference if any there is. image.jpeg
