Ha, all in good fun MrT!!! Besides, the way prices are skyrocketing on these Repeaters, I'll never get close to an A. I am content with my C1 however, both in shaving and aesthetics.
It was the year 1946 when the Eversharp take over happened from the Repeating Razor Company... Billy..
I believe than that it's been established and confirmed that Repeater production stopped with the beginning of WWII...and Eversharp took over after the War...only I understand that American Chain and Cable continued to manufacture the Injectors for a few years as contracted by Eversharp... And Ru I wouldn't dream of sniping you out of an "A"......unless of course it wasa sooo pretty an "A" that I couldn'ta helpa myself.....Just kidding bro....
I was looking at this vintage blade pack and it looks like the same magazine/ carrier is inside that is used in the repeating razor not sure I can take a picture to show but I'm pretty sure it's the same. So if you can get an old injector blade pack you could have a magazine for your repeating razor if you wanted to break it open. But these are probably as rare as blade packs .
Yep....all the vintage metal injectors that don't have a used blade slot on the bottom...They DO have the same magazine inside as your Magazine repeater razor....
Maiden voyage with the A today: With the type A loaded with one of my Dutch Danglies I made 3 passes and ended up with an acceptable DFS. I was surprised how much the A missed. Im thinking I have to work on technique as it wasnt as easy to nail down as the C ive used the previous 2 days. It kind of reminds me of my cart razor days when I would haphazardly shave and have areas completely missed. Im gonna stick with it for a couple days to see if I can get a BBS which im sure I can coax out outa the old girl.
Most were found deep in the dark corners of the internet and I didnt have to outbid fellow forum buds Actually the sad thing is thats not all of them. I pif'd one and another wasnt clean enough for pics.
Received my C2 today. It functions fine. The only problem it had was that the spring did not hold the blade. I took it to the garage and 10 minutes of fiddling and it it good to go. This one has no numbers or letter.
