Barbus

Now this is not something you see every day - well at least I haven't.
There's a vendor on eBay that's selling both the Barbus A/S and the shaving creams (made in Slovakia) - with free international shipping.

The A/S has lovingly been compared favorable to Floid Blue and has, supposedly a really nice barbershop scent to it. The formula of the A/S has not been changed since it was introduced in the mid 1950's.

Disclaimer: I don't know the seller and in this case I haven't even tried this product but for one you don't see often in the US at all I thought it would be worth mentioning.

Me, I decided to 'walk the talk' here and ordered a bottle of the A/S.

 

Will do.

 

It's from Slovakia and not bad - at least the regular cream.

 

I have the hard soap in "classic" plus a backup... one of the smaller vendors (can't remember which one) has it from time to time and I took a chance on it about 2 years ago. Anyhow, I LOVE it. The scent is just right (clean/soapy) and it lathers very easily. The shave is slick and cushiony. If the price isn't outrageous, it's worth getting.

 

I've been waiting for Shoebox to get this back in stock. I just ordered some from the above link. Thanks for the heads up!

Btw, the seller messaged me saying that the A/S bottle is actually 60ML and not 50

 

Will let you know something second week of December. Ordered 2x aftershave.

Is it mentholated?

 

One of the B&B posters (link in OP's post above) mentions a "mild menthol tingle."

 

Very mildly, I was addressing the scent mostly.

 

It's in the list of ingredients but not very noticeable as far as freeze/chill goes
