I recently tried some Citrus Musk and it was great. I was wondering about the lime sec. How is it in comparison? Tangier, sweeter, and so on. When I obtain employment again I will likely pick up a pinauld sampler from the bay but I want to hear opinions as well.

In case it matters I have a love hate relationship with the veg. It seems to react off my skin in a very strange way. Some days its very nice light floral with a hint of musk. Other days its like a territorial tom cat sprayed my face. I have tried it all of twice and I got one of each. The clubman original is my daily splash. If I don't use a balm I use clubman. I'm wanting to add to my AS collection since I only have 3 right now. Pinauld likes my face so Ill start there and branch out

I haven't used the Lime Sec but Clubman is very inexpensive and I wouldn't consider it a high risk, I like all of the Clubman aftershave's I have so I would only guess it would be a good one to.

I prefer Citrus Musk over Lime Sec, The Sec is more of a plain jane lime scent, where the musk has more going on. Some people like both so you will have to find out for yourself.

Is Citrus Musk good in the warm/hot weather?

Lime Sec is a sweet lime scent. Makes me think of lime flavored candy.

Is 'Pinauld' vintage Pinaud? I can see the connection, and now I've got "Auld Lang Syne" stuck in my head...

    I really like the sec.
the sec means dry, I get limes to start then it morphs into something very gentle and nice.
    I like it.

I prefer the Citrus Musk because it's a mix of scents (I think) and Lime alone is too strong.

For me the Pinaud Clubman Bay Rum is too heavy on the cloves. One day I wore it to work, was working with a group of people, and one of them said, "(sniff, sniff) What is that smell?" It was me wearing the Pinaud Bay Rum. It was embarrassing and I have never worn it since, except on days I'm not going anywhere.

The other bay rum scents don't have that overpowering clove scent.

I like it too, but sure had a bad first impression. I didn't try it again for a year. What I've found is that the "cat urine" smell is less prominent if you either refrigerate the bottle or decant the contents into a glass bottle.

I'm aware of the heavy clove issue on the VIBR. Makes me wonder about when they write "As refreshing as an island breeze". But Clubman makes great items.
