My face is so frozen and feeling great after this awesome shave with Brian Hoffman's fantastic Polar Vortex soap. The lather is so easy to whip up and the menthol effect is not too far from the Glacials - in fact I'd rate it at about the same as the Frozen Tundra soap that I used yesterday, and it's also very skin-friendly. Claude Pilon's Bergamot Vetiver aftershave is also damned cold with lots of skincare and a really nice scent! :happy088: :happy088:

This was my last shave with Feather AC. I've used this set up since late October, and I'm ready to move on. Tomorrow morning, I plan to start using my Z3 Super Speed (Bride's birth quarter) for the first time ever. Other than that, I'll try to hold everything else constant.

    Have a great weekend!

After yesterday's less than perfect shave with the R41, I opted for a mild (IMO) razor to begin the weekend. Nice and smooth, no irritation, no weepers, just a close and comfortable shaving experience.

The Reef Point sandalwood is very nice. To my nose, the scent (and performance) is very similar to Captain's Choice sandalwood. The difference is a subtle and welcome addition of menthol to cool down just a touch.

    Have a great Saturday!

The Ever Ready 1914 has been on my list for some time and I finally got my hands on one and took it out for it's maiden shave this morning. Short story? This razor deserves all the praise it regularly gets. Longer story? See here for full shave report: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/injector-se-party.23113/page-223

Hello folks, today's SOTD as follows.

    1910 Floral pattern ABC set.
    Polsilver Super Iridium blade.
    Chinese Badger hair brush.
    C&E Moroccan Myrrh shaving cream.
    Proraso Blue Post Shave Balm.
    Avon Mesmerize cologne.

This was an excellent two pass shave. These old ABC sets are efficient and aggressive. I really enjoyed the scent of the C&E too. All in all a great shave. Here's the photo-

I didn't shave yesterday and was in need of a really nice close one. The Gillette Ranger Tech came through. I'm so hooked on GG products! Her soaps and aftershave's are really fantastic.

    Fat Boy (6) w/Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    W, X1, X2, touch up
Cold rinse, cold towel, witch hazel, Creamo Balm, Aqua Velva Musk

This was my first go with a boar brush. (A gift from my Secret Santa.) No stink, it felt nice, but didn't hold lather very well. That's probably due to technique, not the brush. The shave was not close enough, and had too many weepers. I just cannot get a decent shave with an adjustable.
