    After being unable to polish my $8 type B2 back to its former lustre, I took it to the next step by removing the chrome finish completely. I think it turned out pretty good. It has a steampunk look to it now.

    mine is starting to look that way. I haven't buffed it that much yet. Mine is gold plated with brass underneath. The blade retention spring is copper like yours.

    That looks pretty good but the original finish was silver plate. That still looks silver? Either way it is shiny!

    Yes i had bid on my wife's not mine. So she got the notification. I happened to go on and saw it was sold not knowing it was my bid.
