Very first shave with the Gillette Aristocrat and I am not disappointed. It was extremely mild, almost to the point that without the sound feedback I would've thought the razor was not doing anything. Finding the right angle was a snap, this is a very user-friendly tool.

No irritation, no nicks, no cuts, just a very comfortable shave. It won't usurp either R41 as top dog, but it could easily slide into the third-place spot ahead of the slant.

menthol Monday again, the brothers bristles custom handle is great. it whipped up the bombed vision very nicely. the shavecraft did a very nice job, I used the open side for the first two passes and the bar for the against pass. smooth, comfy results. finished with BOMBED iced blue.
hope y'all did as well, or better.

This is my first post in months. The last few months have been challenging but I'm glad to be back.

Yesterdays shave was a DFS, with the following gear

    Merkur 25c razor.
Personna blade (in disguise as a hy-vee store brand blade)-2nd use
    palmolive shave stick
    turkish brush #6
    jeris musk aftershave
    aveeno fragrance free balm.

As usual the 25c gave me a great shave, mild, comfortable, but efficient. Just what I needed as I recovered from a previous uncomfortable shave staring a Rimei blade.

If I learned one thing from shaving with the DeFitch last week, it was that I can definitely afford to go more aggressive with the Slim. So, on that note, we move from a conservative setting of '4' to one of '5'. This paid off nicely with a shave that continues to be very smooth for a nice one-pass DFS.

It will be interesting to see tomorrow if I have enough growth to even bother shaving. :)

12/07/15 - LPL and Ralf Aust

For some reason I can't get a good lather from LPL. It's either too much water or not enough. I'd like to get it a little more thicker, but when I add more water it thins our.
When I had a sample of it, it worked great. Then I buy a tin of it and I barely use it. :-/
This one might get purged this next year.
    Love the scent though...

The razor just got back from getting honed by Fretzweks. Shaved wonderfully. It's not as smooth as my older Germans, but close to it.

    Monday Shave(in sentence form)

I did the Rise double-whammy(Super Foam&cool "after-balm). I'm working out a routine whereas all throughout the winter I can rotate with Rise and Clubman.I surely won't run out of Rise anytime soon, and this should allow me to grab a 6 oz Eddie Pinaud at the drugstore to save on shipping costs. By next winter, I'll be thinking about trying the Special Reserve or staying with the original. Problem is, Eddie hasn't yet formulated a "Special Reserve" hair gel to go with the AS/cologne.
