The C.O. Bigelow lathered up real nice and thick with the badger brush.
Paired the Superspeed with the Shark blade for a smooth shave.
All in all ended up with a DFS+++ shave this morning=One Happy ILTS

I have wanted that brush for sooo long. I'm now on a no buy. I did buy some boars in Italy. But it's the handle I'm into =)

Best shave in a while! I went back to Van Yulay PSO, and it seems to have made a significant difference. My face is markedly smoother and softer after this three pass drama-free BBS. Tabac yielded optimal lather, as usual, whipped up by my Brothers Bristles Spartan Bronze brush. I thought at fist that this brush was too heavy for everyday use, but I really like it. Perhaps because I also like heavy razors.
Der Futur did its job cleanly and efficiently with nary a hint of discomfort. Three passes on six works just perfect for me. Even though this setting is supposedly more aggressive than the Fatboy on nine, I get smoother more comfortable shaves with the Futur. I could never use the FB on nine two days in a row without irritation.
I finished up with B&M Kyovu Bay Rum and I smell and feel great.

 

I really like the shape of that #28, Jim.

I ordered a couple of pucks of Mystic Water soap and received a free sample of Gingered Cranberry Pear. It isn't something I would have ordered but.... it's a very nice scent and typical of MW quality. Good Stuff. I just found out that I need a total knee replacement. That will put a crimp in my coyote hunting. Have a good one.

My goodies arrived yesterday, so I took them out for a spin today. This is my first Omega boar; I probably should have done a couple of test lathers with it, since it shed several hairs today and the lathering process brought out the boar funk that I hadn't detected in it before that. I was surprised at its relative lack of backbone, compared to the VDH/Beeline, but it certainly does the job. I've used a shave stick before, but never the Speick. After the initial pass left a bit to be desired in lather, the second was much better, as brush, stick, and technique all started to improve. Unfortunately, the blade was pretty clearly done by that point, so I stopped at a 2-pass, DFS shave without any bloodshed or irritation.

 

A delightful bay rum-scented shave which was so smooth and comfortable. The Krampert's Bay Rum soap and aftershave did the job beautifully. That scent just captivated me!

Terrific shave this morning! A 2 pass BBS! The Parker/Dollar General combo is definetely a winner. And the Dollar General blade is still going strong, we'll see how long it lasts. I look good, feel good, smell great and am ready for the day. Now go enjoy your day folks

today's shave was very nice. half inspired half envy. the old Ever-Ready brush ain't pretty (where'd @PanChango go), but it sure did whip up a nice lather. the old 24 made three passes for an extremely smooth comfy shave.(close as I got to join the se party). finished with iced bay rum. nice old fashion shave today.

Catie’s Bubbles LTV today. 20 seconds to load the Plisson Badger. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new 7 O’Clock Blue SP in the Fat Bloy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Frozen Vetiver.
