What is your best Pre-shave face wash that you've found? I tend to alternate every other day between a face wash and face scrub. Here's a list of stuff I like: -Dove Mens + Care Hydrate + -Nivea Energy Facial Scrub -Neutrogina Men's Acne Wash -Jack Black Face Buff (Expensive though) -Jack Black Daily Facial Cleanser (Also Expensive)
while i haven't tried very many facial cleansers, i'm probably done with my search. for the past few months, i've been keeping a bar of dr. bronner's in the shower and just using it on my face. i can't imagine straying from that for a long, long time ...
I bounce around between nivea men's face wash nuetrogena men's invigorating face wash nuetrogena men's face lotion dove men's face wash
Lava original bar soap. Also Gillette warming face scrub. If I want gentle I wash with Proraso White. I tend to have dry flaky face skin so I get rough with it to scrub it off. I just remembered that I said I would attempt to lather Lava. Maybe tomorrow.
I really enjoy the Dove Pure & Sensitive Beauty bar (not the liquid one...). But in the mornings, a dap of L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic gets you going. Pick it up on sale, as the full price is rather steep. Reason for a bar soap for me is, that I try and avoid sulphates. Almost any bar soap is devoid of that. The Dove contains no sulphates and no perfume - great for every day. I use it for the whole body, hair included. Almost all liquid washes contains sulphates. You really have to search for find one without. It's a hassle.
I use Stirling's face bar soap. I have a bar of the pre shave soap waiting for me to finish this one up.
I use Clinique Men's Face Soap. I use it in the shower and if I'm not shaving after a shower, I use it right before I shave. It's a great skin cleanser and it softens the whiskers.
I use The Soap Works bar soaps and vary them according to the season. Simple ingredients no sodium laurel, lauryl or laureth sulphate. Gluten free also if one is sensitive.
I can't picture face scrubs as anything but painful for pre-shave. I guess I'm just familiar with very granular ones.
Gillette pre shave wash. It's great stuff. It's designed to soften the bristles on your face. You just leave it on your face for a couple of minutes and it really seems to help.
I usually use Musgo Real Glyce Lime Oil soap. I work up some suds, rub it into my beard area, and leave it while I whip up my lather. When the lather is ready to go, I lightly rinse some, but not completely all, off and start applying my lather.
Is that what they call whiskers these days? Man, I know I'm gettin' old and outa touch, but... sheeesh!
