I had a feeling that would be your answer. I did see the picture of your empty tins awhile back. I've also seen how often you smoke the navy flake. Do you prefer it fresh or aged?
I have never really aged Lux Navy Flake, it's an everyday kinda tobacco because of its low price, though it is truly world class tobacco. I cellar OGS and Dunhill Virginia Flake. They are both almost pure VA, and aging really deepens the flavors and mellows them too. FYI...Burley doesn't really change much from aging, but VA really benefits.
Right now the list has has: English Lux #17 Lux Navy flake Orlik Racing Green Orlik Golden Mixture Orlik Dark Strong Kentucky CAO Eileen's Dream Captain Black Red Sea Captain Black Midnight Gold Captain Black Copper Cult Conspiracy Pipa Vanilla Cavendish Pipa Cherry Cavendish Pipa Whisky I took off the clay pipe since we decided only to spend about $25 each on us and put most of the cost this year into the kids. I think I would rather have more then just the one item. Nothing on my list is more than $10. That gives her a few options to choose from but I think I know what she will get anyway. Now I just need to wait to be paid for the guitars I'm selling. They are my least loved electric and bass guitars. I got the one in parts for $20 and rebuilt it and the other I traded for 2 packs of cheap cigarettes and a 20oz Mountain Dew.
I prefer Stokkebye Bullseye to Navy Flake, and I've bought a half pound before. Earlier this year I bought 4oz each of H&H La. Red and A.J.'s VaPer, but I've never bought as much as a pound of any blend. That's partly due to me not being a heavy smoker. The bowl of FVF I had last night was the only one last week.
If it's an old Falcon, no surprise. Not enough info in photo. I bet you could negotiate it some, but rare pipes in good condition face high demand from smokers and collectors alike. Cool pic! Do you smoke pipe or cigar?
I quit smoking five years ago. This isn't a pic of the actual pipe even though it looked just like this.
I assume cigs and Congrats. That's a strong addiction on top of a habit. Staying away completely would be prudent. Understand about the pic.
Haven't tried yet Stokkebye Bullseye, but I will smoke it hopefully this year...I bought so many tobacco samples and tins, I think I have enough for 20 years if I maintain my current habits.
