Reef Point Peerless today. 20 seconds to load the ER Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Rapira Platinum Lux in the Red Tip. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Southern Oud.

Ahhhhhh. After 4 days of SEs, I had to go back to DE.

A two week old blade with 5 shaves on it that's been hanging out in a de razor while I experimented with GEM SEs did 100x better than a brand new blade in the GEM. YMMV . Smooth 2 pass DFS today.

all in one shot, I've been waiting on a gold dollar razor a denizen got and had honed, but didn't enjoy the experience. it arrived,I cleaned it up, prepped it for use and used it today. the passes left me smooth and comfy. this razor felt a little different in workmanship, but it was sharp and did the job. finished with Proraso green.

First official day of semester break, so I got a late shave in. . . though an eventful one. I intended to use the Glacial Obsidian, but just reflexively reached for the Speick stick instead, after carefully replacing the old Bolzano blade with a new Bic. I played 'Find the Pimple' on the first pass, and I won! I found it! So, I cut the shave to two passes with slightly better than SAS results, because slicing the top of a blemish tends to produce bloodshed. This, in turn, got me doubling up on the alum, with both the Bloc Osma and the Metilsol.

Still sticking with the Tech for this month, it was time for the GSB again, in my opinion the sharpest of the really comfortable St.Petersburg bunch.
Enjoying the Cachurro brush as well, especially now the glue/solvent/horse has left it. I just left it in a lather of Arko overnight.
The skin issues I recieved from the "lower end" of the blade trial, are finally leaving my face to get on with life. A brilliant result again.

 

I bought what I thought was a nice, brass, Ever Ready 1912 just because I like the looks of those and the price was right. I had a pleasant surprise when I opened the package to discover a 1924 - I didn't know they came in brass with that handle. Used it today for the first shave. Outstanding in every way.

Roger, I find this funny because although menthol is listed as an ingredient in the Musgo cream I feel no cooling sensation from it. Do you?
