  4. Attack the Block

Okay movie but I could have benefitted greatly if there were subtitles.

I find most re-imaginings or prequels empty and disappointing, as as with Oz the Great and Powerful, Pan was too :(.
I would rather have watched a big budget Peter Pan and Wendy. Levi Miller should be nominated for worst London or English accent, but Don Cheadle has been awarded a lifetime award...

  6. A positive surprise - really enjoyed it. A 'dark comedy' with some good action, guts and gore...but also lighthearted. 7/10

  7. The Coen Brothers' A Serious Man, starring Michael Stuhbarg. Far from my favorite offering from the Coen Brothers.
  8. Over the weekend I watched God's and Generals - The history nerd in me was very happy. I just picked up my tickets for Star Wars in 3D for this coming Saturday

  12. I love Mel Brooks. He did a Q&A type deal on HBO that was fun to listen to and probably the only one I've watched multiple times

Entertaining, if you don't think about how ridiculous it is.

  14. An excellent comedy and example of a movie that could never be made today due to our too easily offended society.

  16. A stellar movie from start to end. Highly recommended.
It doesn't really "need" the big movie screen though so this would be a most excellent Netflix/home movie.
    A solid 8.5/10

  19. Last night I saw what I would say is my favorite movie of 2o15 - Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight"
It has a slow build but think that slow means uninteresting or uneventful - in this case it means entertaining and suspenseful.
A bit over 2.5 hours but I could have honestly watched another 2.5.

I would rate this a very solid 9.5/10 and my pick for best movie of the year.
Tarantino movies are very hit or miss for me so I was thrilled to see that this went way into the former of the two categories. Well, well done!

  20. I saw the screener was already released so I'll be watching it tonight. Hopefully after the holidays I'll be able to go so see it in the theaters. Also Star Wars has a cam version out I'm on the fence about it.....I'm not sure if that would ruin seeing it in IMAX after.
