Still, medal of honor for doing that. You do have to love when the "safe" option is the one that slices and dices though. I'm familiar with that particular frustration.

    I enjoyed reading it.
When we have parties here, we just call them work dinners they involve allot drinking and spouses are never invited. The 'party' is not over until at least two people are passed out or puked. It is considered team building.

SR shaving definitely improved my DE shaves. Even the 2011 R41 is a walk in the park now.

Shavettes punish even the slightest error plus the edges feel unbelievable sharp. The extra weight of the SR also makes it easier to not use pressure. I find straights allot easier to use than a shavette, even the Feather ones.

    Dec 15 Shave 2.8

Today is DR Harris Marlborough, I have a travel tube so want to give it a go. I used the Arlington cream in the past and loved the scent. The scents on the Harris creams are stronger than the soaps. Smells good. Wow I used to much and made a ton of lather again. The first 2 passes were good but the lather does not feel as slick as I like. I go what was like a wet yogurt for the 3rd and 4th passes. These passes felt a little rough. Checked for BBS and yes I got a BBS so to the alum test, just some light stinging. Better than expected for irritation given the rough feel and the aftershave feel is also dry. Not sure if I want to risk a SR shave with this cream, but it is good for DE or SE shaves.

My oh my, soooo much to comment on here....:angry019:
then again it is clear you graduated from the @NCoxSTL School of Brevity! :happy102:

First, after declaring the victor in the first shave-off, you -
    1. take an obvious and late argument from the opposing party and agree it has merit,
    2. state that you "always treat each pass as a new shave",
    3. inspite of your statement in 2 above, agree that you may not have given due consideration to the angle of each pass,
    4. admit an uneven playing field,
    5. (almost) reverse course on your initial decision, and
    6. nearly declare a mistrial.
    :lam:

(Hmmm....Counselor, I don't know if I'd ever want you as my advocate!) :char039:

Next, and lemme get this straight...after all the solicitous drivel about uneven playing field above, you then set up the next test by immediately creating an unbalanced test for my theory!

You force my theory up against a two-day PLUS growth, with a more demanding need for a First Class shave and then grace the opposition with the Sunday-morning-lite-shave!

Yes that's right! Any man around knows (I suppose you could be the exception) that for an evening affair with a woman of such outstanding qualities as your fiancée - you give yourself an afternoon or pre-event shave in order to be as smooth-as-silk for the evening festivities. :love055:
    :sexe:

So my theory gets a two-day growth, PLUS late afternoon growth for the "does-it-measure-up-to-the-magnitude-of-the-event"shave, while the opposition gets the next morning, twelve hours later "I-may-not-even-need-a-second-pass" shave!
Talk about an uneven playing field!

Counselor, it is my humble opinion that your advocacy skills may be more suited to a career in mediation!
    :rah:

Lastly, at least you got one thing very right, and again to the credit of your fiancée -
as she discovered, you just "need a smack in the head every now and then!" :ahem:

And you refer to ME as the "irritating one!":happy068:

I resemble that remark sir! :kngt:

    ;)

I motion that the matter be dismissed without prejudice. The State, of course, may refile if new evidence warrants a new trial.

    Welcome back.

When I was studying with my Slim a few years back....I tried numerous count downs and count ups....But the final outcome and one of the reasons I love an adjustable for technique training was this....

I learned to get BBSs on each setting....after getting BBSs on #1 aswell as #9, I learned to intuitively adjust the angles to compensate for the Adjustment Setting of the razor itself.....So it didn't or doesn't really matter what setting you are on...."TECHNIQUE TRUMPS TOOLS"!.....Getting to practice this way is one of yhe beauties of these adjustables...But after getting this together, you can get a great shave from just about any quality non-adjustable....You start becoming amazed at how efficient a Super Speed really is...lol!

It has surprised me the difference taking it slow and really concentrating on angle the sound is definitely the greatest help the only down fall to such a close shave is it may not need doing again until tomorrow I like to take an hour every night after work to do my new found ritual and don't like the idea of skipping even 1 night

Another great shave with the Slim this morning. Going with a 3 pass shave with touch ups, I ended with a near BBS shave; not quite boot camp close but more than close enough for a work day. The Route 66 soap is in a word fantastic with a complex masculine scent and super slick lather. Finished off with a splash of Fine L'Orange and I'm off to fight Atlanta rush hour traffic.
