But so they have razor blades in the brim?

No. You know how you pick up a hat with your index finger and thumb, and then scratch you head with the other fingers? Well, I was always cutting the hair on my head with the blades. I have so little hair left up top, that I had to take out the blades, just to keep the hair I have left.

I think the idea of hats as weapons is funny though. Beats switchblades.

You can think of Oddjobs hat in Goldfinger.

That's funny, judging by your avatar I would think you would be tight with the boys in blue.

Oh I am. I think they do a great and thankless job - especially now. But everybody gets that sick feeling in the gut when the blue lights appear in the R.V. mirror.

I someday will own a homburg. Next trip to New Orleans I'm thinking. I know of a great hat shop there.

The homburg - think Michael Corleone in the The Godfather II. Great hat!

Looks great....anyone should be proud to own a great hat like that....a modern classic that will stand up to the elements and protect it's owner all the while showing style and grace...

Not too many people making great hats in this day and time....Akubra is one for sure!

Does this qualify as a Trilby, or is it not tall enough? I picked it up Friday.

This is officially a trilby....I'm at Snoqualmie Pass WA, Pacific Crest Sky Lift...wearing my Lock & Co. Sandown Trilby and earmuffs, by the fire having a coffee....Life don't get no better, ha,ha...Who says, the Sandown Trilby is a Spring or Fall hat? I think it feels great in the snow! I was absolutely comfortable....
