Did it cost you that much?? I want one but it might be a bit tough to justify paying close to $500 cdn....which is what I paid for my latest hunting rifle.

    1/2 of $300.... ....:happy102:
I know they shave great with the twin-jector blades....but then, everything those blades fit in seems to shave great with those blades.....Right?.....so maybe spend the $300 on twin-jector blades is the way to go?...just sayin'....:lam:

Not talkin bout your 'O' Db.....You've got so many hot, sexy razors....It might not be good for my blood pressure to see your whole collection at one time.....

I think it was $119 if memory serves me right. Still quite a bit of course.

It's possible we'll see the same price jumps on vintage injector razors as we've seen on the vintage DEs.
So as you said - both good and bad ;)

    Today's shave...
HOT! Shower and whisker shampoo and rinse
another HOT whisker rinse at the sink...

Today's sahave will be with products that are examples of somethings, that if I wasn't used to them being so cheap, I would pay 10xs for them and think I really got my money's worth...
    Arko...definitely fits in this catagory
    Omega 10029, my favorite brush...
PAL Injecto-matic...this guy right here is like @Billyfergie says...it renews my faith that sometimes the BEST THINGS are downright inexpensive...although this one was a gift ( can't beat that) the going price these things is amazing...
Aqua Velva Ice Blue/Clubman Classic Vanilla cocktail

    As Good As It Gets....

Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could help me ID one of my EverReady razors. It lives in a white celluloid case, and says patent applied for inside the head. Here's a few photos of it-

BTW....one thing that has been unconsciously creeping into my shaves.....I'll get a BBS all over except my throat and under my chin....So I do a quick ear to adam's apple on each side with my E2/Chick combo....and everything is more than perfect....But I tell you....The PAL is giving my SMOOTH, incredible, bloodless shaves....but the E2 is still a force to be reckoned with...Seems to always leave a weeper or two....but I do love how it 'feels' like shaving with a straight....

I'm thinking this E2 definitely deserves some more serious consideration....maybe I need to focus on this E2 til I loose those weepers....I never get weepers when I use a shavette....Maybe I'm just being lulled into carelessness because of the intuitive nature of the Schick E types.....hmmmm

In the meantime, what a beauty..She is a very nice user grade....Not pristine, and she has a little touch of brassing on the back, but she really is a "Peach" and the opening latch is very smooth and easy to use but holds the blade very tightly....I do consider myself lucky to have an early E2 and one in this nice a repair...

That's a wonderful shaver...one of my favorites...It's an Ever Ready 1924, some call a "Shovelhead".... This one has the rounded teeth in the comb which makes it a little earlier than some....I need to see where the handle screws into the head to know if it's the earliest 1924....

The handle screws into a collar that is riveted to the head on the earliest 1924's....and the 1925 patent has the handle screwing directly into a threaded hole in the bottom of the head....

I've seen some 1924's that were actually made in 1919, and there was a very similar model manufactured in England in 1915....and the first shovelheaded beauties were manufactured for Ever Ready in 1909. They were called "The 'New' Ever Ready"....But yours is from the early 1920's and is a masterpiece of a razor, it's fans consider it the finest shaver ever....Congratulations, my friend....

Thank you for helping me ID this Shovelhead. I suspected it was one of the Shovelhead family, but I didn't know what year. Thank you very much sir.

I have another question Bird Lives, here are a few photos of another EverReady I have. The patent date is 1914 on it. Is it considered a "Shovelhead" as well?

This one would fall into the 1925 patent....and with the rounded comb teeth I would think, very close to 1925...wish I could narrow it down more.....

Heres a photo with the earliest 1924 head on the left and the 1925 head on the right...
