It takes a really Krazy Cracky Wacky Ticky Tacky Menthol Monkey like myself to choose a set-up like this. Everything from the Neutrogena facial wash to the Snake Bite aftershave is bone-chillingly COLD and I mean COLD!

The Saponificio Varesino Dolomiti Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #31 two-band finest badger brush. It has a light scent and lathers very easily. Two passes with my Micromatic OC Razor and a GEM Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

does the handle get the name because it's so huge-like the dog breed?

Lather-Homemade

Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse
Witch Hazel With A/S
Gillette A/S Lotion

I paired the Old Type with a Gillette Blue blade and got a smooth close comfortable BBS shave with no effort at all.
My homemade soap concoction lathered up real easy with the badger brush for a nice and slick cushion for my Old Type to do it's work.
Topped off with my Witch Hazel A/S and the Gillette A/S Lotion for a great start to the week!!
