I had my first shave with my newly acquired Dutch made HydroMagic & NOS Dutch made Super Stainless injector blades...I have heard it said that the Dutch made injectors are better built than the USA Models...Well...This Dutch made Hydro/blade combo sure is different...This injector just felt different the second I touched my face with it...This thing was just about efficient as Twin Blade combo & that's saying something...:)

I cant explain the difference in words...This injector & blade combo just seems to be tailor made by the folks in Holland...If you ever get the chance of a Dutch made Schick Injector get one...This Dutch made Hydro is as different as the Dutch made blades to ones made in the USA...Dolphin Smooth & a lovely surprize ..:happy088:

  4. Cool - I didn't realize Schick were made in the Netherlands. I had always assumed Canada and the US were the production locations. Learn something new every day. :chores016:

  5. Had another great injector shave this morning with my type N and a chick blade. An easy smooth 2 pass shave. This razor handles nice very easy to control. Still pretty smooth 10 hours later. The next time I change the blade in this I'm going to try a twin blade. That should be awesome. I have one more twin blade left and 20 more on the way ( Schick Teflon).

  6. Billy, would a twin blade work in the Hydro Magic, in particular my " 500 " ?

  7. Now my G collection is officially and truly complete. This G2 I bought in the summer on the first day of a no buy month. :happy102: I turned it over to my wife until Christmas in a lame attempt to abide by the spirit of the "no buy" month. It was just too good of a deal to pass up. She turned it over to me tonight as an early gift and I cleaned it up a bit for it's photo shoot. I'd shave with it tonight but I have been wanting to bring out the PAL Injecto Matic so it may have to wait just a little longer... :chores016:

  8. Question on where to get injector blades. Is there a place that sells a large variety of injector blades. I want to try different blades as I only have used the Chicks. I would like to try the personna and feather blades. Being a tightwad I don't want to have to pay separate shipping. A one stop blade place would be nice.

    Thanks in advance.

  9. A one stop shop would be nice but I've never run into one. I get my Schicks on Amazon (although occasionally there are BIN deals on eBay that beat their price) and my Personnas from Electro Microscopy Sciences. See product ID 71990 here: https://www.emsdiasum.com/microscopy/products/preparation/blades.aspx#71940. (I also get my GEM SS PTFE single edge blades from them.) I've been pleased with purchases from both sources. :happy088:

  10. Billy can confirm but I don't think you can use twin blades in an injector with hydro magic lever.

  13. That's a Skull & Cross Bones according to the Twin Blade instruction's...The Schick instruction's clearly state " Not for models with the rinsing lever function" ..:)

  16. I've had so many really great shaves lately that I wanted to shave with the Mighty PAL Injecto Matic to re-establish the benchmark of shaving perfection. OUCH! What the...?? The first two passes were fine, albiet a little harsher than usual but the third pass left me with a half dozen weepers. Was this the work of a razor scorned? :scared003: Nah, just the failure on my part to remove the Feather blade after my experiment some weeks ago. I'm replacing it now with a Schick of some sort to avoid making that mistake again.
