Great Shave today. I did a full 3 passes with the straight and the face feels crazy smooth. I had an all star cast of characters who performed great. Thanks again to my secret santa...the soap and aftershave balm gave me all the confidence I needed.

You gents have a good one!

It's been too long since I've used my Tet-a-tet cream and I owe myself the pleasure of it so much more often. It's such wonderful stuff with great lather, a classy scent as well a light but pleasant cooling effect. The Intesa balm from Italian Barber also is lightly-mentholated and gives excellent post-shave care. My bottle of Aqua Velva is almost empty - once or twice more and I'll go and buy another one. It's so necessary for my aftershave rotation! ;) :D

A double dose of the Aqua Velva, huh? MMAAAYYYBE, I should consider putting to bed my beef about how it began as a....dare I say it...MOUTHWASH..before it became the classic aftershave it has been for so many years.

Prep: Hot Shower/ Garnier Charcoal Face Scrub
    Pre-Shave: Proraso White Pre-Shave Cream
    Soap: Soap Commander Courage
    Brush: Semogue 1460
Razor/ Blade: '65 Gillette Flairtip Superspeed (Thanks @JR Reyes )/ Personna Lab Blue
    Astringent: Alum
    Post-Shave Balm: SC Courage
    Aftershave Splash: Brut Classic

Fantastic shave overall. This was my second shave with the Flairtip and it is truly fantastic--very mild, but gets nice close shaves too. This may be my new razor for daily use instead of my Muhle r89/ Maggard MR-5. I will be doing a review on it soon. Love SC Courage--probably tied for my favorite of their scents with Passion. It is very masculine, but not overpowering. Paired with my favorite brush (currently), Semogue 1460 Boar it worked great. I did bloom the soap while I was in the shower. Followed by Alum and SC Courage balm which is another favorite. Happy eve of the eve of Christmas Eve!

Unless I'm being teased by the Israeli Ambassador to TSD, yes it began as a mouthwash(I suppose just like ACT Cool Mint is today) from 1917-25 From 1925 on, they finally got the idea.
