Question: Does anyone have any experience with Personna Percision Injector blades? They come in an older style aluminum blade injector and have one hole in the center. I did a little test on my arm hair and was impressed by the sharpness. We'll see how they shave tomorrow...
They look like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-VINTAGE-N...194087?hash=item48877457a7:g:5ioAAOSwCQNWegHr
Just the razor - the case would be nice but not essential. Still can't believe the one on eBay with a case went for $169.00 over the $144.00 uncased one which sold before that one - meaning the case is worth more than the razor????
I picked up an E this week. Now to figure out exactly which version it is. I think it's an E2-E5. Anybody know how to narrow it down?
E bay can be a scary place to try to buy a razor sometimes. Especially if it is one that is rare like an F type
Just got my first E type with bakelite handle as well and I really like the feel of it! Bakelite is so smooth and solid feeling compared to modern plastic. Definitely has a better feel in hand imo
If certain people are going to insist on shaving with the superior Dutch blades.....Well I think we will need to insist that they share them with the restof the class.....
And definitely has a sharper feel on face imo aswell.....lol.... I have always loved them....maybe the quintessential Schick...
It looks to be an E3. I cannot see the guard clearly. It appears to have the parallel grooves on it. That makes it an E3. Now if there are no grooves and random type scratches. Then it is a late model E2 as it is not the one that has the open type spring. Bunny K.
I shaved with the G8 @Mustache piffed me at the Seattle Shave Con. A couple days ago....the shave was so perfect and close that I kept a DFS 24 hours later....I tell ya...these are kind of Bb razors...meaning you see alot of them and alot of folks love them but they don't seem to get the press time of some of the favorites BUT! Whoever has one of these is actually a pretty lucky shaver...I mean not to wax poetic but, "a great shave is a great shave" and it seems I great a Superb Shave everytime I use this razor, without even trying.....Thanks @Mustache ! And it's a very stylish rogue at that.
Ok you have yourself an E2. That is my favorite of the E and G's. It works great with the Chick blades. Nice and efficient razor. The most aggressive of those models. Enjoy it. Bunny K.
" Definitely a late model, which means the head doesn't open for cleaning and it is not as aggressive.....which is not necessarily a bad thing as many find the early E2s a tad too aggressive...I have to keep mine in a separate cabinet from my other razors for fear of it attacking them when the lights are out...And I believe I hear it snarling in it's cabinet when it hears the shave-cave water running.......It makes my OCMM seem like a little girls razor and I hear some of them give 2 pass BBS's without a blade....You think I'm kidding? I think the later E2s might be a good balance....
