Thursday's Dove Men Face Wash Saponificio Varesino Dolomiti Shave Soap Jayaruh #38 High Mountain Badger Micromatic OC GEM Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH Pinaud Clubman AS The Saponificio Varesino Dolomiti Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #38 High Mountain badger brush. Two passes with my Micromatic OC Razor and a GEM Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
SOTD 12/22/15 Prep: Hot Shower/ Nivea Men's Original Face wash Pre-Shave: Maggard Eucalyptus Pre-Shave Oil Soap: Beaver Woodwright Ship Wreck Cove Brush: Jack Black (Muhle Synthetic) Razor/ Blade: Gillette Superspeed Flairtip/ Personna Lab Blue (3) Astringent: Alum Post-Shave: Nivea Sensitive Balm Aftershave Splash: Captain's Choice Sandalwood (Sample) Decent shave last night. I still love the Gillette Flair tip. It is such a smooth shaver when paired with a Personna Lab Blue. Will most likely be my new daily shaver. I really don't like the pre-shave oil. I'm trying to use it up, but it feels like it clogs my face and the blade. The Beaver Woodwright is a little tricky getting a good lather with. The bubbles stayed pretty big, so it was foamy but not yogurty or thick. Still had decent protection. Also love the smell of the Sandalwood Captains Choice!

Straights to the Finish Line! December 23 Razor - W.B. Speed Rabbit Soap - TSD Lanolin Bay Rum Brush - Omega Pro 48 Post - Cold Water, Witch Hazel Seems like it's been forever since I posted. Busy day and a late evening shave to have time to work the Rabbit. Grabbed the big boy brush, the Pro 48 and the TSD Lanolin and got a great lather up. Again, one side at a time. Stropped the Rabbit prior so ready to go. The first pass was a bit more fluid as I seemed to find a few angles more easily as far as holding the razor. Kept the blade angle pretty steady and got a good result. Great audible feedback, still no blood on the first pass. Makes me think the first mistake is going to be HUGE! Hopefully that's just paranoia. Second pass I tried working a bit of XTG and had some better success. Reached CCS and called it good again. Let the muscles and memory set in for another day. Overall a good shave. I'm enjoying the process more everyday as my confidence builds. Witch hazel again didn't burn so I'm not scraping too much. Hope all your shopping is done with only one day left! Short day for me tomorrow and going to spend Friday doing absolutely nothing with my wife at my side.
GOOD CHRISTMAS EVE MORNING TSD!! 12/24/24 SOTD Razor-Gillette Super Speed(1966) Blade-Dorco ST-300(3rd and final) Lather-Body Nature Stone Wash Brush-VDH Boar Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse Witch Hazel Gillette A/S Lotion Real nice shave this morning again everything worked well together,the lather from this Body Nature soap is awesome, I think the Dorco blades are ok but three shaves was a little too much the third pass was a little rough. This is the second or third time I've used this Super Speed its a little lighter than my 52' Super Speed but still is a pleasure to use. Even with the blade getting dull on the third pass I still ended up with DFS++++ shave! HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS EVE EVERYONE!!

I chose this military Tech in honor of the men and women of the free world who are securing our freedoms, and cannot be home for Christmas due to their military obligations.
