When I was little, I told my Mom we should leave Santa a coke. I liked it way better than milk, and figured since he was an adult, he could drink Coke after dinner. She played along.
Next year... "how about cookies and milk for Santa, but we could get some peanuts and beer for the Reindeer?" You're welcome.
The funny thing is, my daughter will not drink milk in any way, shape or form except for yogurt. But she insists that Santa needs his milk for calcium. And since I've hammered it into both my kids heads about not drinking and driving, she refuses to be a party to contributing to the delinquency of an Elf.
You have outsmarted yourself. Well played. All kidding aside, kids are never too young to be told important things. I applaud the responses as a reflection of her father.
Merry Christmas 12/25/2015 Razor – Gillette Super Speed (J4) Blade – Feather (2) Brush – DK7 with Druida Manchurian Lather – MdC Fougere Post - Witch Hazel & Folsom & Co Capri Being an early riser has its advantages. It was nice to enjoy the peace of the Christmas morning with a cup of coffee. Continuing the theme, I went with a nice leisurely shave. Loaded the DK7 with MdC Fougere and face lathered adding water to the brush slowly as I lathered. As usual the MdC easily produced a great lather. With the good results of yesterday, I stayed with the same 3 pass routine of XTG, ATG & ATG with minor touch ups ending up with a great near BBS shave. Since I had the time, I went back and buffed the remaining stubble to catch the baby. Closeness A and Irritation A+. Finished up with witch hazel iced and decided to use my gift from the girls, F&C Capri. I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Christmas Day.
Merry Christmas to all of my friends! Christmas shave, reached for what has been giving me the smoothest shaves, the Boker Red Injun. No Soviet shaver today. Good lather, good shave. DFS, for today. Loving the brush. On a lighter note, a fun Holiday Video. Yes, this is actual band making fun of themselves.

Christmas Day Friday, December 25, 2015 King Cobra with Triad Aristocrat Ti Feather Pro Super #4 Red D-7 Manchurian MDC Original Myrsol Metilsol, Whipped Shea Butter Fine L'Orange Noir Aftershave Outstanding close BBS shave today. 2 passes + clean up = Closeness A+ Irritation A. The Feather Pro Super in the King Cobra is the blade of choice for a very close shave. My red D-7 paired with MDC whipped up a creamy slick lather in seconds. Metilsol and shea butter felt cool and soothing. Finished with a splash of Fine L'Orange Noir. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to my TSD brother and sisters. Best wishes for a Happy and Blessed Christmas to the 30-Day crew.
You haven't even seen the best parts yet. I binge watched it over about 2 weeks. All five seasons. Love it.
Straights to the Finish Line! - Special Anniversary Shave (ok, a bit late) December 25 Razor - Van Der Hagen TTO (Weishi) Blade - Brush - Tweezerman Badger (the incredible super shedding edition) Soap - Proraso Green Tub Post - Cold water, Alum, Aqua Velva Musk Wanted to take today and go back in time to last November when I first started wet shaving and use the first setup I ever put together. I had found the VDH razor and blades at Target and decided to give it a go. SWMBO suggested a brush and soap for a "real" shave as she put it, and I ordered the Tweezerman, largely because it was cheap and I didn't know if I'd like shaving like this, and the Proraso just because so many people talked about it. The blades are "Ice Tempered Stainless Steel", whatever that advantage is supposed to be, and made in Solingen, the "city of blades". Yeah, ok. I remember how bad I did the first few times and how rough it felt compared to carts at the time. Still, I persisted and soon after acquired the Aristocrat by total chance and then my Merkur 23c from the same person and I was off to the races in the great AD race. So, today, in honor of that first year of going from crap to crazy, it's back to that setup. The Tweezerman actually isn't the worst brush, probably, but not a great one either. About like an Escali. Just be aware you'll be shedding more bristles than you ever could imagine. It does get a good lather with the Proraso. Better this year than last due to my knowing what in the world I'm supposed to do. The shave was actually better than I remembered, again no doubt due to better technique. Still a bit rough on the feel of the blade but I finished a two pass with touchups at a very high level DFS. Alum was totally silent. Of course, the VDH razor is incredibly mild so that helps. Finished off with the classic AV Musk and called it all good. A year ago that was an ordeal. Today, just another example of TTT. That was my last VDH blade and I won't be replacing them. At least you can say they're better than 99% of the Chinese offerings. Hope you're all having a great day! Looks like Santa is enjoying the day after.
I'd be afraid my wife would unplugged me if I did that.. So far it's a fantastic show! I'll watch a couple episodes a day.
Christmas Day: Homemade PS Oil Simpsons Commodore X3 Best Badger Musco Real Classic SC Schick Repeating Razor Type A Stirling Unscented PSB Musco Real Classic AS Since today was Christmas, I wanted to break out a special razor. I hadn't tried this razor yet, so it was definitely time to give it a spin. Right from the start, this razor just felt natural. After the first pass, I was at least a CCS. I went for a second pass, and did get to NE little nick under my nose when I got a little greedy. I ended with something very close to BBS, so I am going to call it a DFS+. It was so smooth and comfortable. Once again, Merry Christmas to all. I hope everyone has had a good holiday and enjoyed some time with their families.
