The Haul: December 2015

I got my dad some of that Amici soap for Christmas. Had to do a test shave to make sure it was good stuff first, and it made a nice lather. Very nice soap, enjoy the haul!

 

Just came home from an overnight trip to my parents - 350 miles one way

Let me present you my shaving related christmas gifts:

SOC Badger from mother-in-law, the mug and the soap I got from my wife.






Well - the rubber duckie is a christmas gift as well my favorite soccer club - got that from my Mom.

 

Got a lot of goodies today!!

First, a myriad of soaps and creams, most sample size.



Then I have a good many new aftershaves to try out as well!

Got busy and forgot to post this last week. -
Stirling Soapworks bar / bath soap in Black Cherry and Barbershop (not pictured). They threw in a sample of Mountain Man
Hot Apple Cider Shave soap (my packaging) - not sure if I like the heat sensation but the scent is wonderful.

 

And my Secret Santa sent me my birth year and quarter Gillette Slim 1964 - J4. Of course it arrived on Christmas Eve

 

Nice. I've always wondered about those Slim Twist razors. I look forward your impressions.

 

Very nice. Which football team does the duck represent?

 

No shave for me tomorrow but I will be putting it to use Sunday morning. The handle of course is very light but the head seems to have a nice heft to it.

Not the most successful one in history (last national championship title dates back half a century), but one with a long tradition - and my hometown club for 3 decades, before I moved to Hamburg and later to Berlin.

Scored some Matas Men shaving soap and a L'Óreal Men Expert Hydra Energy face wash for Christmas. Reusing earlier pictures of the same products for my own convenience Also got a giftbox with Hugo Boss Bottled EdT and deodorant.




When we visited my parents today, I scored this from their bathroom (yes, they are aware!!). A vintage bottle 2/3 full of Gillette Wild Rain after shave. Smells amazing.

 

Happy with the condition of my latest find after cleanup and polish. No brassing.
Slim J3 with box post clean and polish.

I like making old things new again and bringing them back into use.
