That will help put on a few pounds. Everybody comes to our house for Christmas dinner. They leave all their cakes and cookies here. Today I took them to a shelter and let the folks there pass them around.

Hello Doug. I hope you and your family had a great Christmas. Sharing the Christmas goodies is a great idea. I took the photo at my brother-in-law's house where everyone congregated yesterday. I just happened to be standing by the snack table. Thankfully, I didn't go way overboard. We brought a few goodies home with us, though. If anything is left on Monday morning, we'll take it to work and pass it around.

I'm glad your boar brush focus is going well. That is a beautiful cased Gillette President.

Thanks to the focus thread I was able to stay with the boar brushes until they broke in. Took longer than I thought.

 

I had the same experience with my Semogue 830 boar. It took a month to six weeks to break in. It's a good brush, but it doesn't hold enough lather for a full shave. This morning, I shampooed and conditioned the knot. That helped soften it up and fluff it out even more. I'll post a photo later this evening.

 

I'll try that with my boar brushes tonight.

It was a great Christmas. I got to try my new brush, that my wife gave me, and like it a lot! Great shave today.

That's a nice brush. my wife didn't get me anything shave related but I've only been into it a month and I'm trying my best to hide my addiction so I can't blame her really. Next year had best be full of shaving surprises though

Didn't have time to post yesterday so a belated happy Christmas to you and your families I hope you had a great time. I got a nice BBS yesterday ready for the inlaws. It's my shave today I am most pleased with though everything just went perfect from creating a lather to every pass and I finished it off wonderfully with some post shave balm before snake bite, which is a combination I've not tried but from now on will keep up it feels and smells superb. I also received word from @Billyfergie saying the PayPal I messed up has finally gone through so I should be the proud owner of a 1924 shovel head soon
