I'm using Dove Men+Care Styling Paste. Rumor has it that it is exactly the same as their Suave product. It has a matte finish to it, which is what I like. It has no shine to it and holds it in place while appearing natural, as if I'm not using anything. My hair is relatively short, so I need very little of it. The 1.75oz container will probably last me around 4 months. I'm happy with it, but I'm open to trying new products, as long as it is low to medium hold with a matte no shine finish.

I like the Dove OK and it may be the same formula but it isn't the same scent. I have tried a bunch of products since they got rid of the suave and my wife really liked one that I tried on a lark...Got2B Molding paste. It is under $5 at Walmart so I ahve been using it primarily.

BRYLCREEM! My barber had no idea what this stuff was, and the guy at the beauty supply store had never heard of it either, but this is the best hair care product I have come across so far. The scent is nice and it holds the hair without the hardness of a gel, so it can be re-combed thru the day.

I know, its a sin not to know what Brylcreem is. My barber is a older lady so I thought she would know what I was talking about. There was a DE razor and brush on the cape which I pointed out and she said "is that what that kind of razor is called?" I nearly fell on the floor when she said that.

The*only* thing that goes in my hair, after dandruff shampoo (which is why I don't have dandruff) is a small green hairbrush.

I've tried any number of products over the years from pastes to waxes, gels, mousse, and hair spray, and Brylcreem is the best of all of them, for the same reasons @SHAVEWIZARD420 has given. I even like the new packaging. Means the tube stays on the counter these days, rather than in a drawer.

    A little dab'll do ya!
