I like the Florida Water scent profile very much. TSD AS is one of the gems of the shaving world.

    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Florida Water

The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #39 Synthetic brush. The long handle made loading the brush a cinch with the VDH apothecary mug. Two passes with my Micromatic Clog-Pruf Razor and a GEM Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Florida Water after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Z3 Gillette Super Speed
    Feather (3)
    Semogue 830
    XPEC Unscented
    Two passes
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and CC Bay Rum

I enjoyed a relaxing two-pass shave this morning, and I've had fun using the Super Speed this month. I'm putting my nicely broken in Semogue 830 away for awhile, replacing it with a Shavemac two-band silvertip brush for the next few shaves. Today was my first outing with XPEC. It's a good cream, but I will need some time to dial it in.

I hope everyone had a fun Saturday!

    20151226_110937.jpg

    Prep: gustafsons woodlands
Razor: 1920's Gillette ball end old type
    Blade: croma (1st shave)
    Brush: omega s synthetic
    Soap: Soap Commander Renewal
    Post: B&M Fougere Classic ur

Had a nice 2 pass shave today. The Renewal has a great scent, even though I'm not a fan of floral scents usually, it smells like a garden in springtime. Has the same good performance SC is known for. No irritation on this shave, just one little nick on neckline. This Razor is more agrees I've than others I have so I am still getting used to it. It does give very close shaves, just need work on technique. Finished off with Fougere Classique. Hope everyone had a great shave!

    December 26

    Razor - W.B. Speed Rabbit
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Soap - Tabac
Post - Cold water, Alum, Nivea

Two days of practice with the Rabbit left before using the Soviet. Another evening shave so I wasn't rushed and I'm happy to report I survived with only a minor nick along the goatee line. That area is the trickiest for me to get an angle on as it's difficult to get close on a WTG and the XTG still trips me up a bit. But, after two passes I'm at a decent CCS and I'm calling that good for now. The WW brush and Tabac was excellent and the alum was a bit noisy tonight but I was using a bit more angle than I have trying to get a bit closer. All in all not bad. One more day to get ready for the trial by Soviet steel on Monday. Happy Saturday! Hope you are getting less rain than we are. Downpours for over 12 hours straight.

    SUNDAY
    Evening Shave for Tomorrow
No shave this morning so an evening shave is in order prior to a busy early start tomorrow.
My first shave with this newly-aquired C-MON 'Blackie'—fresh off the hones. No surprise the razor provided the same ultra-smooth, close shave these vintage C-MONS are renowned for.
Three pass, near-BBS result. A Fine finish.
    Have a blessed Sunday, all!

Christmas Day Shave. Sorry for the delayed shaves! I shave at night so I am a day behind everyone else. Had a great shave today using some new stuff I got for Christmas.
Prep: Hot Shower/ Garnier Charcoal Face Scrub
    Pre-Shave: Proraso White Pre-Shave Cream
    Shave Cream: AOS Peppermint
Brush: Manhandled Wood Shop 29mm Badger
Razor/ Blade: Merkur 1906/ Voskhod Blade
    Astringent: Alum
    Post-Shave Balm: Nivea Sensitive
    Aftershave Splash: Aqua Velva Classic

Pretty good shave today. Still figuring out the new razor and blade. I got the Merkur 1906 for Christmas, as well as a 100 pack of Voskhod Blades. The razor and blade combo was very smooth. Not the absolute closest, but still very good and just a tiny bit of dry skin irritation (not the razor/ blade fault). The razor has a decent weight to it and is very smooth. First thing I noticed is that the quality of the plating on the Merkur is definitely not the same of Muhle. AOS cream is very cooling and smells great. I will definitely use that cream in the summer, not just around Christmas time. Also love the smell and cooling effect of Aqua Velva, so I'm happy with the shave!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING TSD!!! 12/27/15 SOTD

    Razor-Schick Adjustable (set on 7)
    Blade-Schick(5)
    Pre Shave Oil-E Shave
    Lather-C.O.Bigelow
    Brush-E-Shave Badger
    Three Passes-Wtg,Xtg,Atg
    Post Shave-Cold Water Rinse
    Witch Hazel With/A/S
    Barbasol Pacific Rush A/S

Yet another BBS shave this morning!!,It's My second time using pre shave oil so I'm still not 100% convinced it makes a difference.
The Schick Adjustable is on its 5th shave after not using it for a long time and I must say it's starting to grow on Me.
My favorite shave cream C.O.Bigelow is always rich and thick no matter what brush I face lather with.
The new E-Shave Badger Brush is really nice and soft with just enough backbone to get the job done.
For a $1.75 a bottle The Barbasol Pacific Rush A/S is Great I like the scent and the way it cools my face down.:happy088:
