  1. Planned SOTD - 27 DEcember 2015

    Shave Den Sunday!

    image.jpeg

I have this shave planned for after the Green Bay game. Miserably cold today! Great indoor weather. Really looking forward to the FB today! @wristwatchb knows how to pick nice razors! Soap is Iced Subzero, AS is Barber Shoppe. The sample size AS are a great way to expand your collection. Other than that...all is quiet in Colorado!

    Have a Great Sunday!
    :)
  2. The Packer game is in the early morning??? (I never wrote that).
  3. I live near Denver, Colorado, USA. I am typically an evening shaver, and today is no exception. The NFL games are at 11:00 and 14:00 on Sunday in my time zone. So, hopefully after watching the Pack win, I will use this kit for today. I post planned shaves often on the weekend, because on Sunday the SoS thread closes late afternoon.

Prep - Hot Shower with Stirling bar soap - Barbershop
    Brush - Plisson
Lather - Stirling Soap Works - Ozark Mountain
Razor - 1964 Gillette Slim - my birth year Razor j4
    Blade - Astra SP (1)
Finish - Warm rinse, Alum, cool rinse, witch hazel, Art of Shaving AS Balm - Sandalwood

This was my first shave with the Slim given to me my Secret Santa - It did not disappoint. It was a wonderful shave. On the aggressive side. About the same as 5 or 6 on slim adjustable maybe. However no irritation and no nicks. I was a bit concerned by the light handle with the heavy head but it was easy to handle. With the Stirling soap I went a full four passes for a Sunday BBS

  5. Nice gear @Jostalli your razor is :signs021:
  6. Thank you for your kind words! :)
  7. Interesting never heard of Ingram green. Is it as watery as the blue?
No shave today for me. Played with the new slim yesterday, pushed it to 9 on a few passes and shaved me a new one.

  14. The Schick Type F is still the only razor at my disposal so I had the pleasure of a fourth shave with it this afternoon. Fantastic 3 pass smoothness. Can easily skip shaving tomorrow while traveling. :happy088:

  15. Not in the least. I no longer use the English-made Ingram for just that reason. My Ingram - both Blue and Green are from Egypt. These two variants hold their consistencies perfectly and never separate. Both of them are colder than the English version as well. The scent of both countries' creams are identical and they all have the same terrific lather.
