  10. Another great shave tonight
I used a new soap called men-u ultra concentrate. I didn't have high hopes for it even less so when I seen the consistency but it was great! It lathered extremely well and allowed the blade to glide. I won't be using it again though I'm not keen on the smell and it is full of chemicals tomorrow I will try the maca root. Now I'm getting a great shave every time it's getting a bit dull I'm very much looking forward to learning se now and I understand why you all have rotations as you call them I need more of all things traditional shaving my addictions intensify daily

  11. Haha I mentioned straights to my wife the other day she didn't seem keen in fact she seemed angry I'd even considered it I'm going to experiment with de and se for a year and get on the straights. I don't really have a desire to go Russian though as funny as it is

  12. My wife had the same attitude a year ago when I mentioned them. She was quite adamant that she didn't want them in the house. Either she's mellowed, begun to understand my passion for shaving, or else figures it's a shortcut to the insurance. Either way, I win.

  13. So I have a year to convince her or up my insurance policy either way it's win win for me. The best advice I've received so far :D

Are you going to try again tomorrow to see what lasting power the razor has?

I have a shave ready "Our Leader" Jas. G. Barry Co. from Chicago Made in Germany razor right here staring at me and begging to be used on my 4 day growth. I also have some new rocks. I'll be posting a shave report very shortly. Maybe an hour or 2 since I have 4 kids in the house now.

  17. You have to laugh when it't that bad. Yes, going to try it again tomorrow to see what difference stropping does or doesn't make. Don't know how it could get any duller. Quality Soviet "steel" in this one.
