Thank you. Are you set for January focus with your 1924? I am looking forward to following your progress throughout the month.
I'm still waiting for the 1924 which was posted first class yesterday. Our 1st class is pretty good 1/2 days so I'm going to have one last shave today with my trusted set up to boost confidence and hope it arrives tomorrow. I've selected maca root for next focus with dove post balm and snake bite so in that sense ready to go
Thanks Kerry! My 12 year old nephew snapped it when I took him to DragonCon last year. It was taken right after we saw the episode "Into the Dalek" commercial free an hour before it aired in Atlanta.
It really does help you in the long run, I jumped from razor to razor and never really got the hang of any of them. In 30 days you will have learned pressure, angle, blade choice, lathering. Glad to have you here! Kerry
SOTD December 30, 2015 Prep: Hot Shower. Axe Energizing Face Wash Boost Razor: Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed 1959 E1 Blade: Personna Lab Blue Lather: Monsavon Bol à Raser Brush: Oscar11 Root Beer/Black 28mm Silvertip Post: Thayers Cucumber WH. Gold Bond Ultimate Aftershave: Myrsol F/Extra Wonderful shave. I really like this soap a lot. The Gillette Flare Tip once again was worry free shaving, load and go. My Oscar11 Silvertip whipped up a mountain of lather. Never let the things you WANT Make you forget the things you HAVE!
12/30/15 Gillette New LC Rapira Super Stainless (1) Vulfix Super Badger (660) Mama Bear's Soaps Black Code type Georgetown G12 Scuttle Pinaud Clubman Original 2 full passes: Pass 1 XTG. Very good reduction. Pass 2: ATG with a small amount of touch up. A cool water rinse followed by touch up in my usual spots brought home the Baby. The Pinaud Clubman stung like fire again today, but settled down quickly. Still had a plenty of lather when I finished. Enough for at least two more passes. A nice BBS from the Rapira Super Stainless in my New LC with the Mama Bear's Black Code type. I'll stay with this setup for tomorrow to wrap up the December focus. I hope everyone has a nice Wednesday.
It's on my ever increasing list. I've just ordered some traditional Turkish lemon cologne I had a Turkish shave years back and loved it
Thanks Clint! I plan to focus on the razor my wife got me for Christmas: the Phoenix Double OC. I plan to try my top 4 blades and a feather in an effort to find one that gives me close and comfortable shaves. Once I've done that, I'll stick with that blade through the end of the month. I think I'm going to mostly use your Michael's Wool Fat, but I may use other soaps for variety later in the month. How about you Clint? What will you focus on in January?
